I didn't assume it was the end of MNF - since it seemed a little early for the NFL season, I checked the schedule, decided if he does announce at Titans game, he could just finish out MNF the next week. The thing I'm wondering, well a couple of things, 1) if the timetable is indeed moved up and 2) why would ESPN be willing to play along (tho maybe they'll think they are the ones "breaking" the story).

It's an emotional subject for most of us, and it's sometimes hard to believe such good news considering the last 5 to 10 years.

That said, I hope nobody thinks I've called anybody crazy. I appreciate any info people bring to the forum. It's up to the reader to decide what to do with it.

it makes most sense that he is coming. the guy likes the attention and he will have more of it here and nationally by taking this job. decision will be delayed for a few weeks, imo to make it look like this deal wasnt done before dooleys corpse was cold and in the ground. an announcement on the 30th would be the best time due to the talk and exposure over the conference championships weekend.

Maybe thats the hook, speculating abounds and ESPN IS getting to break the story through the man himself...ratings blow through the roof.

Throwing this into the pot to be melted (or burned in some cases). my booster contact has shut down...even conversations with his mother have ceased.

IMO, that's a good sign!

Edit: and I respect his privacy, so I'm not going to pressure him.

TSR has a lot of room for improvement. From 1 pm on it is absolutely unlistenable. Treece wants to analyze the game? Wtf is there to break down?
