the VolBeat song,I figure you could appreciate that one lol...I'm still counting only one, unless you add Danomite

I've kinda gotten out of the scene since I've been approaching 30. It would have been fun to go see that though, even though Longbranch kinda skeeves me out.

Well, I don't know when you were last in the scene, but it damn sure ain't what it used to be. I'll be 34 in Jan. I was going to shows at the Mercury Theater in the late 90s. Such fond memories.

One of the best performers I have seen has been Prince, sounds wierd but the man puts on a helluva show imo

In their prime? Well, you and I are obviously in a different generation...

Did you happen to catch a glimpse of Uschi Obermaier hanging off of Keith Richards? Man, she was one hot piece.

I had the good fortune back in 2004 to host a hotel party for:

Silverstein
From Autumn to Ashes
Armor for Sleep
the AKA's
Walls of Jericho

Needless to say it was a good time, and I'm no longer allowed back at that Motel 6 in Raleigh.

At Warped Tour in 2006, both Silverstein and Armor For Sleep remembered me, so I kinda got to spend the day hanging with a bunch of bands, and getting a kind of VIP treatment.

That's right up there on my list of awesome musical experiences along with hanging out with Anti-flag, and getting a personal tour of Bleeding Through's tour bus, courtesy of the very beautiful Marta. Unfortunately, the tour was as far as I got.

I've seen:

Metallica x 2
Billy Joel x 3
Elton John x 2
Chicago
Joe Cocker
Leon Russell
Pearl Jam
Dr. John x 2
Allman Brothers (the old fogie version with only 3 original members)
Allen Toussaint
Hank Jr. x 2
Loretta Lynn
Dave Matthews Band x 3
Linkin Park
Mudvayne
Jimmy Buffett

I've seen dozens more, but these were the biggest named people I've seen.

Edit: I'm only 27 so none of these guys were in their prime other than Dave Matthews.

No Def Leppard? So sad...

I have heard the same thing. That Super Bowl show he did was pretty good as far as Super Bowl shows go.

How freaking old ARE you?

IIRC, their guitarist got up on one of his stacks and belly flopped onto the stage! Not into the audience, mind you, the effing stage! Splat! Wacky! One of the members died, too, correct? It's been several years ago.

One of the band members LITERALLY pissed on another person at a party... The guy that got pissed on was escorted out of the party. Mercy! :eek:lol:
