Side point but does anybody remember what quarter that Smokey ran out on the field today. I wanted to show my little girl on dvr but her patience ran thin. She wanted to watch Max & Ruby.

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but what I'm getting is people with sources in the AD say Gruden's a no go while people with sources from the booster side are still saying done deal? Of course, these are all alleged sources. Some believe Hart is opposed to giving in to the boosters because he wants to show he's in control. In this scenario, could someone please explain to me the purpose of pissing off people who can get you fired by putting their checkbooks away? All this back and forth is confusing so could someone please clarify if I'm reading the situation correctly?

Insider?, NO WAY. I get hated on left and right. I dont know anything. I just like discussion with fellow Vol Fans. I want Gruden, but Hubbs is usually on about these things.

That was not your claim earlier especially with the "Dave" text thing

Think about some of the new names that the Knoxville "sports media" is throwing out. Many just don't make any sense at all.

Mike Gundy? He's coaching at his alma mater. T. Boone Pickens likes him and will beat anybody's offer.

David Shaw? He's also coaching at his alma mater. He's a west coast guy having great success in an area he loves and is comfortable. Sure, money talks but Shaw isn't your typical mercenary coach. Not happening.

Golden? You think the administration made a public announcement this week about an extra $6 million a year so they could hire Al Golden?

And we are the crazy ones for saying that Gruden is the guy?

Nice try Hubbs & Hyams. Your playbook is easier to read than Sal Sunseri's. Downplaying a candidate who both of you know has at least spoken to us and adopting a "throw a random name out there" approach is just plain stupid.

The local media scene is an absolute joke and I am sick of these puppets hurting fan morale. Looking forward to their articles about the Gruden hire.

Watching this aTm game....Sumlin just needs to take a knee and go home.

On the other hand, Mizzou has some ball girls that don't look half bad...

Its BS. Hart can have his dog and pony show, but he will not make a move without the heads nodding in unison.

Well hart better get his stuff together quick if he wants to save this recruiting class. So he better stop pissing off the big booster and get that contract signed asap.

Or maybe Dave Hart is doing the smart thing and protecting UT from a total disaster. Just because you throw more money at a guy does not make him the best choice.

Agreed. Why can't we all agree that no one has a clue what is really going on and what may be the true reasons driving the decisions made by Dave Hart. You know, it is just possible that he may doing his job well, unlike the last guy.
