The football forum should be renamed the Bash the Player Forum. It's just getting pathetic over there. The players only do as they are told and or taught, leadership of the coaches was the problem. Not all the coaches but some, now they are saying CP won't make it in the NFL and its best he leaves UT. WTF

They are no better than the ones that keep on about sources ... they both will rub it in no matter the outcome. This isn't a Vol nation ... It's turning into a Vol Civil War.

Not jealous of the hire, jealous of their contacts with info. All you guys have come on here, and try and discredit what they have told us. Don't you realize they're only trying to spread some good news they have heard? But because Jo Blow didn't tell it first, they're all butt hurt over it. Just because they don't have rock solid info, they're unreliable? And yes, this is a free forum for opinions, but people don't have to be disrespectful to give them. Grudens coming, deal with it.

Boro called Dilfer to replace Gruden before it ever hit the Internet. Hubbs, Hyams represent UT, they will be the last people to tip any favor into Gruden without UTAD approval. Take note in the fact that no one has denied the parties have spoke and this demand from Grudens agent on control, that is hilarious and pure smoke.

The one nugget you can take from the Gruden thread is that it appears they are going to make every effort for a homerun hire. I hope it is Gruden. If it is not I feel more confident they will go after a big name .

They have had plenty of time to get the ducks lined up. Not like firing Dooley was a recent thought. I'm hoping for a name by the first then got time to get the class together.

So you feel the need to attack me because I think that the people who post on here that Gruden is coming 100% maybe passing false information? Really was that necessary?

One thing you are wrong about is 'jealousy'. We want them to be right, and I don't care where the information is comes from in the end as long as Gruden ends up our coach. That said I have been around internet message boards since the 90's and I see this song and dance before.

Everything has pretty much went according to his and SBV's statements imo. I just hope it gets announced this week because I see no good reason for it to go past next weekend. Jmo.

I've been following this forum since they opened it up and participating since Gruden IV ( I think ). I'm going to put in my .02 cents worth and take a break. I'll be back this afternoon but I don't want to argue about this because it is personal opinion and based on what I see/read on here.

I really believe that for some currently unknown reason that the UTAD/Jon Gruden want this out of the public spotlight right now. If you read Hubbs statement closely not only did he leave himself an out for later, most of it makes no sense. I'm not going to try and convince anyone, believe what you want. I would encourage anyone interested to read the cliff notes starting with BabyVols post last night thru Hubbs statement and to read them carefully.
Not saying this is a done deal but I do believe Jon Gruden will be announced as head coach before next week.

Not an "insider", just my opinion.
