OGs are still right until proven wrong.

Lemonte coming out and being a douche like that makes me think that this isn't over. That was just unnecessarily over the top.

My guess is Gruden is announced next week... which sucks.... cause my Champagne will now have to take up space in my fridge for yet another week!

I'm still here and still know it's Gruden. I'll take the heat when somebody else walks to the podium but not right now. I won't reveal my sources just like the other guys won't. If you don't want to believe us then fine.....go to another forum. Hart is busting his a$$ on this hire and it will be the biggest one in the history of the NCAA. You want us to reveal our sources as to why we think he will be hired....I want you to reveal your sources as to why he won't....and please don't say Hyams or Rucker. You are as pathetic as them

My source, Common Sense..

Boro...have you come to believe it is now over?

No....but on the face of things you must admit it doesn't look promising. However, none of what has been presented today meshes together to form any kind if cohesive narrative. It just doesn't make sense knowing what we know.

I'm in until we hear the truth if see a new coach.

SOOON!!

.

I find it interesting that Woodberry's article is written like he is quoting a source...

I wonder who is his source? Because it is doubtful that he actually spoke to LaMonte!!!

I was fully prepared to get the "let down" and give up on Gruden.

I did not expect this embarrassment and language coming from Lamonte.

I just dont believe he really made those statements. No professional agent would refer to a perspective employer as living in a fantasy world.

I simply am not buying it.

I agree with this statement completly about many ggod coaches fall in between .... but there are many that are in this group that can not coach against the Sabans and Miles of the SEC... to win in this conference we do need middle of the road good

We need the BEST..... and that is the sad truth

Then we need a Sumlin style coach, a coach who can beat better talent with less.

Saban and Miles are insanely good recruiters and very competent game day coaches. What we need in the meantime is a competent recruiter, and an insane game day coach (in the vein of Sumlin) because we aren't going to out recruit UF/Bama/LSU until we start putting on a good show again.

That is just my opinion, obviously. I think Gruden, at least in our collective fantasies, was the best of both worlds. Gruden, is the proverbial Holy Grail that I don't believe will ever live up to the hype that has been built up around him. We have to remember, he was unproven at the collegiate level. Anything someone uses to say he would be successful is just conjecture when discussing the NCAA. We should remember that.

So this is masochistic, but hey, it's more fun than watching everybody else get ready to play in the SECCG and the bowl games coming up. I for one hope this drags out till Christmas.

The big boys got this done, he just shows up when it's time to close it down. He hasn't done anything about this since the Kentucky game because there is a timeline. This thing heats up, cools down, heats up, media manipulation. An agent speaks for Gruden? A spokesperson for the AD? Hart had no intention of letting Dooley go before the Kentucky game. Vandy took care of that for Hart. Watch it unfold. Ainge said less than 3 people know this deal. Two of them are Peyton Manning and Jim Haslam. Gruden is not turning his back on the Sherriff. And yet again, I remind you......

December 21, 2006
Saban: "I guess I have to say it. I'm not going to be the Alabama coach. ... I don't control what people say. I don't control what people put on dot-com or anything else. So I'm just telling you there's no significance, in my opinion, about this, about me, about any interest that I have in anything other than being the coach here."

He was hired as Alabama's coach on January 4, 2007.

Stepped out for a coupel of hours and everything has done a 180. When i left we were talking about JG coming..now I come back a read his agent is mocking UT saying we live in fantasy world...WTF. On top of all that I have this bama punk snickering things like, hehehe UT thinks they will be good again hehehe UT thinks they will actually get a coach that can beat bama hehehe. If I wouldnt lose my job I would split his head open with my CPU monitor.

Let's see.....EVERY NATIONAL REPUTABLE NEWS NETWORK THAT REPORTS SPORTS

That's a good start as far as my sources.

Would Volnation rather wait through the upcoming torture and get Gruden or get in too much of a hurry and land any other coach?-Strong, Golden, Fedora, either Butch or Baylor's coach Art whoever?
