Waiting for my corporate office to notice the number of pageviews I'm giving this thread.

Got to admit, the alleged Rucker news last night (I say alleged since he went on Twitter and said he never said anything about Mora) had me down a lot this morning.

But still hanging on. It just doesn't add up. We either have him and the supposed interviews are smokescreens...or we had him, screwed the pooch and are now scrambling.

My lack of faith in the Athletic Dept is the only thing that gives me pause.

But hanging on.

Good morning everybody. Looks like more smoke and mirrors out of the AD. I wonder if he's even talked to another coach? Beginning to wonder myself.

This is my first post to any forum or chat room or whatever so it's going to be long. Sorry.

I don't know what you all consider a "source",but I believe that the proverbial "smokescreen" is an accurate theory based on a phone conversation with a brother-in-law to a former Vols HC(married to the coach's sister. Not named Kiffin or Dooly!

This man was salesman for a company where i was employed for 6 years. I built a good relationship with him, even to the point of him offering to pay for a college education if i would go back to finish. I say that only show a level of trust and familiarity with one another. Here's how the conversation went after 15 minutes of asking about he and his wife's health and so on.

Me: So what are we to do do with our Mighty Vols? We really sinking.

Could Hart's mystery interview in NYC be Bill Cower? That would certainly fit the out of left field profile.

If Gruden is a no go, which seems inevitable at this point even though I don't want to admit that, I just hope people close to the situation provide the details of how the deal actually transpired. Did Gruden keep putting more demands on us or did TN drop the ball in some fashion? Some closure would be nice.

Take Rucker with a grain of salt, he does a lot of "I knew that" stuff. Someone tweeted that UT and Auburn made hard runs already but Mora wanted to stay in LA. I dont recall Rucker saying anything before yesterday about UT going hard after UT, but he said "I heard that too". He heard it, but didnt report it? Maybe I just missed it.

Probably the same if its an RK Show. I've been to RK shows allover the state and normally see a lot of the same guys.

Ainge says Gruden was never going to come here. The money for assistants thing is not true and it is not anyone's fault that he isn't coming.

Not just Ainge, but anyone who flops their position back and forth, i.e. media, etc. I just cant get behind...especially when they are paid to generate listeners based on that position sway...

BTW thanks Patti, I know you are just putting out there...
