IF and I say a BIG IF it is not Gruden. Who would you think would make the best second choice for us? I am interested in your opinion.

I am not sure who you could hire. But at $6-$7 Million you can get a lot of people interested. I think you might could attract the likes of Chip Kelly, Brian Kelly, and maybe even Nick Saban. You could also look to the NFL. Not implying that any would come but to put the $6-$7 in perspective, Bill Belichick makes $7.5 and is currently the highest paid. Jim Harbaugh makes around $5 and his brother John makes about $4. The infamous Lovie Smith makes $4.8. Rex Ryan comes in at about the same as Bilichick at $7.5. Again, not that these guys would come but it does put the amount in perspective as to who might listen.

And to those that think that is not feasible or possible, how much do you think Saban pulls into Alabama? He makes Alabama 5 times what they pay him. They could afford to double Saban's salary and he would still be worth every penny.

Personally speaking, if it's not Gruden, who would be THE statement hire, then it may as well be Chaney.

And, frankly, Strong, Fedora, Gundy<Fulmer; which means if it's not THE statement hire, then it should be an all Tennessee hire(Fulmer, Chavous, Martin, Graham, etc...)

I know I'll get flamed for that. So be it. Just how i feel about it.

Never. I said in the summer that the season would play out and Hart would make a decision, which he did, and that a bowl game and 8 wins would have meant Dooley would return, and he would have.

TB just made a good point while talking to Colquitt.

He said Strong about snapped in his press conference yesterday about HC jobs.

Coquitt said yes he is not really polished at all but that means he has "room to grow"!

What the heck is that about? We don't need someone who is going to have to grow into the job. The SEC is not a freaking playground or classroom. And at Strong's age, how much is he really going to change? He is who he is - good - bad - or - indifferent and that is not going to change.
