Does it not seem fishy that ESPN is putting so much into this unconfirmed rumor when 2 major schools just had big, confirmed hires merely hours ago?

Seems like they could be building up to a major story...one that doesn't end with Strong at UT.

I've been all Gruden since September and razzing my buddy near the AD since then. He's mentioned Strong several times, so either Strong is smoke for Gruden or Hart is h€llbent on doing what 'he' wants to do.

OK guys, I wanted Gruden too, but let's get real.

Take a second and think about this. Strong has a GREAT reputation as a recruiter. Look at the dynamics of recruiting: a young black coach goes into a young black recruit's home and has our resources behind him. This could be a really good thing.

I'm willing to give him a chance, because I think he's earned a top job like ours. I think he'll make the most of it on the recruiting trail.

I am not willing to take a chance with Strong especially since he has a buyout of over $2 million to leave Louisville. Far too expensive for a coach with limited success as a head coach.

Now tell me, what coach is more likely to kick out Chaney, who is regarded as one of the more successful O coordinators in the league?
