Graphics are great, player models are great, game is entirely too slow, glad they put the demo out, now I can go buy 2k AGAIN.

Thats a pretty common complaint. From reading at other boards, 2K8 is the consensual game to buy.

There is a good possibility that EA will tweak the game before its release though. The community manager has been pretty active on the OS boards and is getting a lot of suggestions for improvement.

I didn't notice that! Thats awesome, but they players were wearing the 05-06 jerseys. Hopefully thats changed as well. I can't see them updating the arena and not the jerseys. The secondary logo on the scorer's table is pretty sweet too.

Also, in other news, the game has been tweaked to increase the game speed. So the demo is slower than the actual retail version.

It looks like EA did not update the jerseys once again. The new scoreboard in TBA is missing too. You would think that they could get their #7 team's jerseys right, especially since this is UT's second year with the design. I've posted on the MM and OS boards several times that these updates need to be made. Hopefully, these screens aren't current. I will post back when I receive the actual game. :hmm:

I finally received my early copy of the game. If you guys have any questions about it, I would be glad to answer them.

Some bad UT news:
-2005-06 uniforms
-TBA is not authentic
-Horrific player ratings
-EA created 3 of our walk-ons and left off Williams, Tatum, and Prince.

I'm liking the game, but it will definitely take some getting used to. Its gameplay feels way different from any bball game I've ever played before.

I still concerns about the game speed. I still think it will be a problem. Did they put game speed slider in? However the graphics appear to be killer! Is that so?

Yes, there is a game speed setting, and it is defaulted at about 40%. And yes, I'm in love with the graphics/player models.

The game speed issue is really not that big of a deal for me. It really forces you to feed the posts inside. However, fast breaks are pretty unrealistic because you are moving so slow.

Another problem that I had was running 3-point plays. The passing is a little delayed and its throwing off my timing when I try to get it to the open guy. I am going to try throwing the pass a little earlier to see if that helps.
