*OFFICIAL* March Madness Game Discussion Thread

The coaching disruption was clearly a factor.

Wisconsin was struggling with Colgate but Colgate couldn't finish. It was essentially a home game for Wisconsin.

I look forward to the Vols putting one of these Big Ten teams out tomorrow.
Looking at the 2nd round matchups, the only Big 10 team that should advance is Purdue imo. Texas has the defense to keep them in check though. I could see all the Big 10 being shut out of the Sweet 16. It would be glorious!

Anyone using the March Madness app? Is there any benefit or special features to using it?
You get three hours of free streaming if you don’t have a cable subscription and you can have access to your bracket. But I assume the website is the same. It’s just easier to have the app if you are on your phone.

First game of the day might be the best matchup. Baylor-UNC should be a great one. Also won’t be totally shocked if Memphis takes down Gonzaga. Should be some really good basketball today.

Idk about everyone else, but I kinda get the Florida Gulf Coast vibe with this St Peter’s team. They aren’t Dunk City but they play with a chip on their shoulder like that group. I’m rooting for them to make a deep run.

Anyone do well in the first round picks? Mine is the worst I’ve ever done by a country mile.

Same. I have a terrible bracket this year, and ironically this is probably the year I watched the MOST basketball outside of Tennessee games. It just goes to show you this entire tournament is a crapshoot and no one has any idea what they’re doing.

They lost 11 games and many to some bad teams. I’m still genuinely shocked they beat UK.

Yeah but I only had 19.
Well we’re all doing bad this year. Hang in there. Maybe I’m not doing as bad as some, but I had Kentucky in the Final because of the draw they had. If they had been in a region like ours then I probably wouldn’t have put them past the Sweet 16. One year I was lucky enough to be almost perfect in the first round and missed on just a couple picks. I think that was 2008, where all the 1’s advanced to the Final Four. I think that was by far my best year.

That’s what a single elimination tournament in a sport with a significant luck factor involved does to you.

We aren’t CSU as our defense is much better. If we build up an early lead, Michigan gonna have a tough time making a comeback two games in a row. We need to kill their will in the first 10 minutes of the game. Turn the intensity and defense all the way to 10 and build that early lead then keep the foot on the pedal. Howard’s leadership becomes a little suspect and his emotions get the best of him when things aren’t going his way. We have some advantages in this game. I wanna see a blowout. The type where the starters are pulled at the end of the game again. I want UM to feel it. Win this one, and we’ll get some rest and regroup for a couple days. Just get it done!

Sorry. I couldn't help myself. When you said let's turn the intensity and defense all the way to 10, my mind came up with this. lol. GBO!

It's the only way to watch, in my opinion. You get live stats for every game as you watch it. Sure, the ads are repetitive, but the streaming quality is second-to-none. Also, it has a scoreboard at the bottom of your screen that shows the live scores of the other games going on at that time.

Whoever is running the scoreboard on CBS must be hungover or something. Having all kinds of trouble getting the score right.

I was good on the upsets. I picked TCU over Seton Hall, Richmond over Iowa, ISU over LSU, and Miami over USC.
I actually think this was the first year I got all the 8/9 games right lol. I did pick ND over Bama and ISU over LSU. Picked some other upsets that didn’t come through.
