Official Mayweather VS McGregor Thread

Anyone know of good places to watch the fight in the Farragut/West Knox area? I'm not paying $100 for PPV.

Throw a party and ask people to pitch in. Whenever my wife and I go to a bar to avoid the $60 PPV, we end up spending $60 on drinks and food anyway. If you get friends to cover $50 of it, you can probably call that a win.

Also, last time I went to a bar to see McGregor fight I called and asked if there would be a cover. They said no. It got so packed they were charging $20 by the time I got there. I told them to get ****ed and found a bar that wasn't charging, but keep in mind, a lot of places will be.

This is the best idea. Or go see it at the movie theatre (kinda lame IMO but at least cheaper).

Hooters on Kingston Pk has a $30 cover charge on their sign. I just glanced at it, as I drove by, but surely that includes food and/or a pitcher. But I bet it don't

I can't believe I'm saying this but I hope Floyd slowly crushes Conors skull and he quits on his stool.

Rogan had Brendan Schaub on this week...of course they gave the rosiest endorsement of the fight, but they made some interesting points (also, some major Jon Bones Jones ass kissing went on, which became outdated in about 24 hours). They were way more convinced by the Mag sparring footage than any of us were, and remember that Schaub has a boxing background.

They pointed out that Mayweather has ****ed up hands after all these years. They are a genuine concern, especially in 8 oz gloves.

Schaub says McGregor will have about 5 tricks he can pull out of the bag and he needs to capitalize big time on at least one of them. He'll show Mayweather some things he's never seen before, Mayweather will "download the new fight data" and it won't work again for the rest of the fight. For example, Mayweather has never seen a punch thrown from a karate stance, which could be interesting.

I think what will happen is after the opening bell, they'll meet in the middle of the ring, then will proceed to have a dance off. Then take their gloves off and flip everyone off and laugh at them for buying the PPV.

And it would still be more exciting than the Manny/Floyd fight.

I posted my prediction in the official thread but I'll re-post it here.

Connor comes out strong in rounds 1 & 2 while Mayweather retreats and tries to find his distance. Rounds 3 & 4, Mayweather finds his rhythm within these rounds and starts landing 2 & 3 punch combinations with a stinging lead right hand. Rounds 4 through 6, Mayweather continues to out box Connor and has him completely figured and starts landing at will. Round 7, Mayweather is really confident and completely punishes Connor in this round and shows why an amateur boxer should never fight someone of his caliber. Round 8, Connor's left eye has swollen shut and his corner realizes how much of a mis-match this is and has to pull Connor out of the fight before this round even begins. TKO Victory for Mayweather.

I hate Mayweather but this is just a spectacle and it won't even be close. I'll be pulling for McGregor to land that power shot in the first 2 rounds.

Fight Stats: Mayweather : McGregor

Jabs/Land/%: 132/71/54% : 98/15/16%
Power/Land/%: 228/151/68% : 112/13/12%
Total/Land/% 360/222/61% : 210/28/14%

So the fight is only available on PPV?

PPV, i think you can rent it on gaming consoles, you can stream it online but if it's anything like the Mayweather/Pacquiao fight then they will be taken down quickly and you'll have to chase it down on another site. That's what we did and it was a pain in the ass and the terrible fight wasn't worth it.

Then I'm going Floyd by TKO, cause you white people can't dance for sh*t.
