Points of interest from MTSU game:
--MTSU pitchers walked 9 and hit 2 batters and Vols can only score 4 runs. Vols still can't get a big hit with men in scoring position.

--Vols pitching has been subpar in SEC play and Serrano has buried a pitcher who threw over 50 innings last year with a 3-1 record and and ERA of 3.00. Pitches him last night and he throws 4 scoreless innings. Why hasn't Freeman pitched since the first week of the season?

That is a sad stat and a growing trend, you have to capitalize on the freebies. Our opponents have no problem taking advantage of the free passes we give them.

He said that he and Richard Jackson had a "pitch-off" to see who would make last weekends roster, Freeman won it. I don't think he has been hurt.

Please tell me I am not the only person that was puzzled to why DS pulled Freeman?
