Sloppy performance. Seems like there was a foul called every time down the court on both teams.

JaJuan looks really good. Thought Crews and Johnson looked the best out of the Freshman. Tabb also played pretty well.

Yeah, I pointed out a couple weeks ago that Tabb is better than expected. Certainly underrated. Johnson stills looks better than Ramar Smith. Johnson has some problems defending on the outside that showed up in the game. Got beat off the dribble a couple times and forced to foul. But, everything else he does looks very solid. Chism looked good. I didnt think he fouled that much. Actually, defends very well with his feet and positioning. Crews had two goaltending calls that were nasty. He will refine some skills over the next couple year and will be a great player. Jujuan Smith and Dane Bradshaw are going to be as important as Lofton this season. Did you see the shot fake Bradshaw had on the cut and great pass from Chism...one-handed, cupped ball, Kyle Young goes flying by...classic.

A very sloppy game by all. The officials were terrible, and the Tennessee fans made them aware of that. JaJuan Smith continues to be the player that impresses me more than any other.

Lofton continues not to get good looks, we have got to get him more involved in the offense.

I feel comfortable with either Crews or Chism in the game, with a mild preference for Crews. MTSU was physically bigger than us, but we still managed to dominate inside.

We've got work to do before we can earn our way to New York, but I think that a rough start is good for us overall.

what was the reasoning for Chris Loftons low scoring? I had a fb game tonight so i couldnt go. Also how'd they look?

What's the deal with that? If I were a coach and had Lofton, I'd make sure a lot of my offense was designed to get him open looks. Now I know that Pearl ball is more about the fast break, but I think they can figure out a way to get Lofton more than 6 shots..

The way Pearl was subbing in and out it looked like he was more concerned with finding a combination of players that played the best together than he was about getting any player good looks or anything. He can afford to do that against MTSU.
