Would you rather people trash NASCAR in this thread or in every NASCAR thread that you or someone else starts? They&#39;re going to anyway, so I was just making this thread as a joke for the heck of it.

Trend to go to more night racing on Saturdays, especially the July Daytona race. Preferred this race being run in the AM on JULY 4th. If they want to race at night, run both races at Bristol and Richmond at night. Run the rest on Sunday afternoon.

Speed limit on pit road.

I enjoy Nascar, but it&#39;s not like I&#39;m obsessed with it, or watch every race.

It is harder than most think to drive 500 laps on a track, physically it takes a toll on your body, and mentally, just the constant thinking, and having to recognise and know where everyone is.

not as big a nascar fan as i was 4-5 years ago...to many pretty boys in it now...i miss the days when it was truly a red neck, annoying sport. where the drivers got in to fights on pit road.

oh well.....it&#39;s still pretty good, it fills in a void on Sundays until football season starts up again....after that, could care less.

I&#39;d say the reason it&#39;s not a redneck sport anymore is because the ticket prices are gradually making it too expensive for the Rebel Flag wavin&#39;, snuff dippin&#39;, Bush "blue yummy" guzzlin&#39; good ole boys to afford. And this trend to move to tracks in the north and the left coast. This sport was born in NC, SC, Tennessee, Virginia, and Alabama. Not Chicago, Kansas City, Las Vegas and New Hampshire.

I think he is off his rocker. Truth is, expcept for one eccentric law school professor I had, I have never met anyone who was a serious NASCAR fan who was not a redneck of sorts. I think they abandon their hard-core base at their own peril. Of course, they probably figure that the real "reds" will never give up on NASCAR in the same way that the Democrats don&#39;t mind crapping on black people becasue they assume they would never vote for "racist Republicans" and Republicans crap on the bible thumpers becasue they assume that religous fundamentalists would never vote for "baby killing Democrats".
