Makes sense. This will be a huge victory. An all around ass whooping. We should about have a playoff spot secured I would think.

Why would it not matter?

Anytime you can absolutely annihilate a good team like Chicago, it matters.

Especially since we've played so bad lately and tonight is the first time in a while we've looked in sync with each other.

Because we are more than likely going to beat out Chicago, however we are fighting with the Wings for the 4/5 spot. We are still a point down so we need the Wings to lose very badly (and not in OT).

Yeah I understand that..I agree to an extent, but I don't think this game "doesn't matter".

Definitely need the wings to lose though.

Exactly. This is a "4 point game" was huge to put more of a gap Between Chicago

Radulov has been amazing these last couple of games. Total domination tonight.

We move into 4th seed tonight with the win, meaning we get home ice in the first round. Hopefully we can get hot and seal the 4 seed. If its detroit we play, home ice is huge.

Honestly, the 6th vs three seed would be ideal, but will be happy with 4th, or 5th. Radulov is a top 10 offensive type talent. He will blow up soon. He had so many chances for either multiple goals/assists tonight. This will easily be our best chance during the playoffs this year.

Unfortunately, with the stupid way the NHL seeds for the playoffs, that would mean dropping to the 6th seed and giving up home ice. Would you give up home ice to be able to play Dallas instead of Detroit?

If the NHL seeded like the NBA, we would be in 3rd, only 3 points out of 2nd...

Those Pacific teams are hungry...give me 4th and home ice.

Plus the travel out west is not always ideal.
