Official Nashville Predators Thread

Why would they hate Nashville? Nashville's rise as this weird, modern hockey town is unironically the best thing to happen to the NHL in years.

The blue bloods hate the fans. It’s painfully obvious how much they hate Nashville for no reason.

That bolded aspect of your quote is true. I was in Montreal during the playoffs last year for work. The people I was up there seeing were impressed by the performance of the Predators as a team on the one hand, but were also bemused by intense fan support on the other. There were a couple of "I didn't even know they had fans" remarks. I've heard that in Boston too. It's patronizing, and they said it right in front of me knowing I am a Predators fan. Some fans of some of the blue blood teams have kind of an "Aww, aren't they cute, they figured out what this hockey thing is and they are excited" attitude towards our fans.

Honestly, it's not any different than the reaction that Tennessee fans (or fans of any big college team) might have about an up-and-coming, new kid on the block team. In college football the roles are reversed; we are the establishment, and we tend to look down on newcomers.

Just ordered a Rinne jersey and a Preds cap can't wait to get them. First team gear I've bought.

So we all know a win tonight will clinch the division and conference but if Boston loses in regulation tonight we could also clinch the President's Trophy too.
