Great series from Colorado. I will also say that I was really impressed with how both teams handled themselves in the 3rd period. Avs could have easily gone all goony and didn't. The goal for that series was to advance and avoid injuries.. major success by those metrics!

Got to slow down Wheeler, Scheifele, and Laine. There offense runs through those 3.

Must have a better overall effort in this series than vs the Avs. Tonight was a good start.

Totally agree. I think this was the series were looking ahead to all along so the effort will be there.

If they don't play better, they'll still get smoked by Winnipeg. Games 1 and 6 might have been the only game the Preds won if they were playing Winnipeg in the first round, and Game 6 was their only complete game all series.

Even though we won the series, I still think it is fair to wonder if we peaked too early. Someone earlier in the thread said November was our best month (I'm assuming that means as far as a point total) but we sure looked like we were playing our best hockey from late February to mid March.

I think Winnipeg will give us fits, and it is probably going 7. Should be really high scoring.

Interesting that the games between the 2 all season we’re fairly high scoring yet 2 vezina finalists in net. I think the average goals per game for each team was over 3 in the regular season match ups between the 2. Playoffs will look much different though IMO. I think this series goes at least 6 if not 7. Going to be tense.

In 5 games the combined goals scored was 41. I don't see all the games being this high scoring. They are the one team I have had the most concerns with. They match up very well with us.
Looking forward to some high anxiety games.
