What a weird game. Felt like the Preds were the agressor the entire game but still got beat by a good margin.

Peka has to play better. Hope they bounce back on Sunday.

Yea I’m not worried and won’t be shocked if they lose the series either. Should not be playing the Jets in the 2nd round. They are really good.

Common denominator is the defense has been shotty in both series. He hasn’t been amazing by any means but the defense hasn’t done him any favors either. Jets goalie played a hell of a game but every rebound he gave up in front the Jets D was there tying up the Preds player or clearing the puck from the front of the net. Preds haven’t done a good job of that yet, and that’s why there was 2 front of the net rebound goals tonight. Can’t blame those 2 on pekka.

The way Lavy coaches we will be exposed on the back end a few times. It’s part of it. The only problem is that we didn’t put the puck in the net. I mean Josi had a wide open net in the first, but he couldn’t handle the pass. The opportunities were there. Just one of those hockey nights.

Have to be smarter about when to expose yourself. Preds D have pinched at bad times a few times now. Pekka can only save you so much. But yeah, unfortunately it was one of those nights. 47 shots, 2 shots of the posts and endless rebounds and the Preds only found the back of the net once. Have to bury your chances when you have them. Playoff hockey doesn’t give you too many second chances.

So is the Vegas Knights a team that is protected by the NHL... There has been a lot of missed calls in favor of them....?

If they don't win tonight, the series is probably over. I think there is a decent chance they go to Winnipeg and lose both games, especially if they lose tonight. Winnipeg will have all the momentum.

I don't know what has happened to the defense since about late March, but they just leave big holes on the back end. Winnipeg is really fast (faster than Colorado, because they have better speed on lines 2 through 4) and Nashville struggled with Colorado's speed throughout that series.
