Really? I just thought one of those goals (the 3rd one, where he allowed the huge rebound) was on him. And Pekka is the reason they won Games 2 and 3. Your general point about him having stinkers in the playoffs is correct, but I don't think it applies to last night's game. If you want to rag someone this series, do Ekholm. He not only has taken several bad penalties, but he's looked out of position a lot too. That interference penalty he picked up early in Game 2 was one of the dumbest penalties I've ever seen, and then he got the unsportsmanlike on top of it.Happens every year. Pekka can’t up his game in the playoffs from what he did in the regular season. (The last 5 years)
I’m not hating, just an observation.
I've never quite understood this team all year, which is why I've been saying all year I don't expect them to make a deep playoff run. It's like they check out for periods of time and end up in situations where their backs are against the wall (either in a single game, or over a period of multiple games), then bow up and get themselves out of that bad position, then soon after check out again. Teams that go far in the playoffs have a much more consistent level of focus. I get that there's ebb and flow, but when the Preds have been off this year they are really, really, really off.
