This is a little similar to the Elite 8 game that Baylor had against Arkansas. Played a phenomenal first 10-12 minutes then honestly kind of played average for the rest of the game.

Are they really using the semifinal as an excuse?
Yeah I don’t buy it. Usually coming off an emotional win, fatigue, both mental and physical, doesn’t manifest itself until the last ten or so minutes of the second half.

Pretty sure that this would match the biggest halftime deficit that’s ever been overcome in the title game. Kentucky was down 10 to Utah in ‘98. Don’t think that there’s been a bigger deficit overcome since then.

Three point line and offensive glass is the entire game. Baylor is shooting 7/12 from three, Gonzaga is only 1/6. Baylor’s nine offensive rebounds were really the difference. Gonzaga is actually outshooting Baylor, 54-50.

It would be the largest deficit at any point overcome as well (19 vs record of 15 point deficit).
