Most likely who are you going to take in the first round? Just wondering.

Are you asking who am I going to take, or who do I think the Bills are going to take?

At this point I am looking at best available, though I need a running back and a large wide receiver.

If I am the Bills I am trading up to take Harrell.

Hmmm...i really dont see the browns picking Quinn although they do need a QB i dont see him going that highly.I figure if the scenario that we just played out happens they will trade down.

You're probably right. A few ppl have been asking about are we gonna do trades.

I would like to, but I'm not sure how we can pull that off.

Anybody have any ideas on how we could do trades and keep this thing non confusing?

i think trades would make things incredibly confusing. I think we should just go with the best choice for the situation likely or not, where trades are concerned. thats just my 2 cents

I agree

Thats what I was thinking.

Just seeing what others mind set is on this.

Why does it have to be confusing? The two parties could negotiate a trade by PM, and then they just announce the trade and place their pick when the other team would have made their draft pick.

True.

I think that would work as long as nobody goes overboard with it by like, trading a franchise player for a draft pick.

We would also announce it on this thread // and who ever is involved in the trade will announce it during their draft pick.

Would this be cool? Or anybody think this is a bad idea.

i dont see why it couldnt work. i just know that it might delay things seeing as some people dont check pms as regularly. but i do think we could give it a shot and see how it goes

Yea, I think we can give it a try. I was hoping this would go a little faster, but I guess its hard to catch the right guy at the right time on here.

But about the Private Messages, I don't know about y'all but as soon as I get one, it pops up on my screen. So to me that wouldn't be a problem.

The lions with the second pick have drafted the best player in the draft and will not trade unless offer is to good to refuse.

The Arizona Cardinals are fielding offers for anyone that would like to move up to the #5 spot. If I don't receive any offers, I'll make my selection within the next hour.

The Cardinals picked Jamaal Anderson - DE - Arkansas. Luckily, I think that the Cardinals' odds at drafting Joe Thomas are better in the actual NFL draft since it appears more likely now that the Detroit Lions will draft Brady Quinn. In that situation, the Cleveland Browns would likely draft Adrian Peterson and Tampa Bay will be racing to the podium to draft Calvin Johnson.

I am surprised that Adrian Peterson is still on the board. I was thinking of picking him up, but the Washington Redskins already have Clinton Portis, and Ladell Betts.

So the Redskins took, Gaines Adams // DE // Clemson.

Vikings are up next with the 7th pick.

Before the Browns Picked up Lewis I had planned on drafting peterson. I figured that called for a change of plans tho

Jamal Lewis would make a good backup to Adrian Peterson, but his days as a premiere back are long over.

Who is getting pissy? I'm just saying that I'm glad that I think that the AZ Cardinals have a really good shot of drafting Joe Thomas in real life. Mock Drafts are fun, but they don't mean ****. I'm hoping the Cardinals get Joe Thomas for real.

The Steelers just drafted Robert Meachem with the 15th pick of the 1st round. Honestly, I never thought that I'd be the one to draft the first UT player. However, if Meachem doesn't get drafted before the 15th pick, I really think he'd be a great selection for the Steelers. Hines Ward is getting up there in age, and they've never had a #2 receiver even close to the level of ability of Robert Meachem. He could easily take over as their #1 receiver within a year or two and Hines Ward would become their #2 man.

Santonio Holmes isn't too shabby either. Holmes and Meachem outside with Ward in the slot and Miller at TE, that's dangerous O

Exactly. The Steelers would have the most formidable receiver corp in the NFL once Meachem and Holmes fully develop. I think Meachem will end up being a much better pro than Holmes, but having both of these two guys on the field would stretch a defense beyond belief.
