Official Post-Loss Overreation Thread

The fact of the matter is that this was a young A & M team playing their first true road game and they beat a more experienced and talented UT team. We've now lost to a horrible UTEP team and a bad A & M team. F'n Texas teams.

RPI Forecast had UT winning by 13. They were 88% sure that UT would win. UGA and Auburn are the only other teams that they are more sure that UT will beat.

Realtime RPI had UT winning by 14 tonight. A & M is a horrible loss at home. End of story.

You can make up excuse threads the rest of the night. Bottom line is this team should not be losing to a sh*tball team like A & M at home. Period. It's embarrassing and pathetic how bad some of these losses are to some of these teams. Martin deserves every type of criticism thrown at his monotone ass tonight.

weird how they constantly happen to CCM. at least he has an NCAA tourney track record to back his coaching up.

oh wait.

remember... up until he was fired... you had some vol fans that would take a bullet for Dooley...

This type of homerism from fans like the op and bleedingmartinfan is not unusual. They'll come around at some point.

Hey! I think you all need to back off of Chris. I've met him in real life and he is a good man, and a real Vol Fan. He is probably just tired of the Chicken Littles that reside around these parts.

He is welcome to leave and hopefully takes ccm with him.

I'm not saying that he doesn't deserve to lose his job at UT but, do you really think Hart will pull the trigger?

I think Hart being a basketball guy, former AL player, will be very diligent with this and realize our BB program has gone as far as it can go under Martin . I think a change will be made.

And according to your sources Bruce will be brought back in by horse and carriage, right?

Bruce isn't coming back, but I would completely support it if he did return, UT Basketball was never more fun when BP was the HC.

That being said, Martin can't afford too many loses like last night, let's hope the Vols can recover from this and still make the NCAA.

The reverting to old ways pattern we feared and foresaw reared its ugly head again. How many did they score in the 2nd half slowing it down, working the shot clock in the half court, and standing around watching Jordan go 1 on 1? 24?
How can you be a smart coach and repeatedly go back to what doesnt work?

Do you have a point besides trolling? I think people are entitled to be pissed tonight.

I think his point is is to know that true basketball followers would inevitably be upset after a loss like this. Therefore the only defense he has left is to blame it on an emotional state of overreaction.

Someone needs to remind him the first stage of grieving is denial. :cray:

It was tough to watch, no doubt. Especially after a pretty damn good first half, that's the most aggravating part.
