The conference is going to have a major black eye on its hands.
Just wait until a player with Cousins' temperment is playing against KY and gets fed up with constantly getting the screw job from these refs. You are going to have a major brawl that resembles the FSU/MIami football brawls.
I have to hand it to Chism -- this kid has gotten bent over by the refs his entire career (especially against KY) and has maintained his composure. The technical on him today was total horse s hit by Ky loving Doug Sirmons.
As long as coaches like Pearl, Stallings, Donovan, and Stansbury sit back and let the refs constantly escort KY to victories, it will never stop.
Those fans who will rant and rave about our team today and thought we had a chance today -- I laugh at you. I knew there was no way the refs were going to allow UT to be in this game and when Sirmons and Greene walked on the court in stripes, I knew it was going to be ugly.
Yes the Vols played some bad defense and they shot poorly, but when your best player gets put out of the game by the KY assistants, it effects the whole game. And when this game got to 15 and Sirmons took over to make sure the rally ended, our guys gave up. Don't criticize unless you could continue to maintain your composure in the face of getting screwed by the refs.
The only thing that really pisses me off is that the SEC may have just cost us a 4 seed with this fraud today.
I think he got T'ed up because he got up in the face of the KY player. Should he have been hit with the T? No, I have seen far worse that didnt get the technicalI generally hate "whine about the officiating" threads. I don't see "praise the officiating" threads when UT gets the good end of the stick, which does actually happen on occasion. However, I would like a clear, concise explanation from someone as to why Wayne got T'ed up with Orton. I've watched the replay several times and I see nothing. If anyone from our side was going to be T'd up there, it would have been J.P.
First the SEC officials do this in football season (ex. Arkansas/Florida) and now in basketball. Something stinks in the South.
Vols got slapped today by a better team. Guess the refs made a 29 point difference. Never heard such whining. Vols have 3 convicts on the team and you call KY thugs ? Pearl teaches hack and flop and you whine about refs. Pitiful. Vols are overrated thugs, cheap shot artists, and classless. Big brother whipped their a## today. Guess the officiating in Knoxville was really good ? Pearl needs to get some better convicts next year to have a chance at competing. His son could not play for a mediocre high school team - simply a hired hacker throwing elbows consistently throughout. Maybe you should get off the blogs and attend a game in your own home state with the other 1500 fans that were there.
While it is true that the UK kittens were a better team today and probably would have won, it would have been nice to see an evenly called game and see what would have happened. Cousins got treated like the king today, and that is so sad. After all that Cal has done at his other jobs and is doing in UK I don't think I would be calling anyone else thugs!!Vols got slapped today by a better team.
