Official Super Bowl XLVIII thread

That was like watching Tennessee playing Florida...or Georgia....or South Carolina...or Vandy....LOL!!!!!!

Man, I feel bad for Peyton. Such a great year ends in a horrific note. Where do i start with this game?

1. The Denver O-Line was mediocre tonight, starting with the first snap of the game. Seattle's D-Line dominated the LOS all night long.

2. Denver's Defense played good early, but crumbled after the 1st TD was scored by the seahawks. Hell, they looked like they gave up in the beginning of the 2nd half.

3. Special teams play by the Broncos was putrid. I think Harvin is still running.

4. Again, I really feel for Peyton. Tonight just wasn't his night. 34/49 for 280 yards, 1 TD, and 2 Ints.

5. Congratulations Seattle on getting the win. A dominating performance by the defense and a great night for the offense.

That's all i got to say for this game.

What Vol knight said. Seattle took advantage of all of Denver's issues. However, people are making the loss all on Peyton. He didn't have his best game by any means, but Seattle's D gets a lot of credit for that. Peyton was harassed quite a bit.

2. The PI before the first TD wasn't even needed. He was positioned to make a legal play on the ball.

So that's another way of saying damn egregious or damn harrowing.

Seahawks
Defense wins championships. Seahawks made it damn clear tonight with making the manning and one of the
greatest offense look as horrid as the jaguars as in before they won four games. Or the 0-6 giants.

Broncos should have not been favored. Seahawks made that damn clear as the broncos never lead, and scored a garbage td. Seahawks won damn easily and broncos couldn't tackle Harvin in a phone booth.

Seahawks didn't want this to be decided by the refs and a plus at making that happen with a blowout.

This was a asskicking from start to finish Seahawks were the better team by mile high miles for the entire game.

Overall it was a complete game by the Seahawks, and the broncos didn't have any ammo to stop the Seahawks.

Game sucked, commercials sucked, and halftime show was meh. Worse Super Bowl in decades. imo

I think San Francisco Denver or Dallas Buffalo might be worse.

But I could agree the worst since the early 90s. The only game that possibly could compete might be the Oakland-Tampa Bay game.

Damn straight! What was with all the melodrama in the commercials this year? I always thought most superbowl commercials were witty. It's like every single ad was going for the heart strings. The only one I can think of that I laughed at was the "Dale Call" commercial.

That this is sports center commercial was a omen when the Seahawks mascot knocked a notepad down of miles the broncos mascot.

That's what the Broncos mascot gets for hitting all the buttons in the elevator on the way out.

You never do that when there are bystanders in the elevator.

Victory amount equals cowboys over bills.

That sb with cowboys and Baltimore colts that was damn ugly that may be the worst Super Bowl because both teams played like garbage in the freakin Super Bowl.
When both teams play like garbage in the freakin Super Bowl that's Batman and robin the movie damn embarassing.

I won't deny this was a damn stinker considering the best defense had no challenge shutting down the best offense.
This was like the Florida state vs savannah.

No doubt in my mind that he can make it back. But there's gonna be some retooling in Denver in the offseason. I don't see decker and Moreno being brought back. I see them going after free agents on defense.

What does Welker's contract look like. I think he needs to quit while he is ahead. He has taken A LOT of hard hits to the head.

So as of now, 13 teams haven't won a Super Bowl:

Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals, Tennessee Titans, San Diego Chargers, Arizona Cardinals, Carolina Panthers, Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles, Detroit Lions, Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Houston Texans.

Of those teams, 4 have never made a Super Bowl:

Cleveland Browns, Detroit Lions, Houston Texans, and Jacksonville Jaguars.

I think Denver as a team is a little bit soft. They were not used to smash mouth type of play like this. Seattle roughed the WRs and Manning up. There are no excuses that can be made for this game. Seattle was clearly the better team.

I am baffled beyond belief at the score. I could have seen Seattle winning. But to hold the greatest offense of all time to 8 points is utterly mind boggling.

That's not going to change for a long time.

Of yeah, Super Bowl V is clearly one of the, if not the, worst. He just said "in decades," so I didn't take it to mean the full 48 years...more like 20 to at most 30 years.
