Turning the corner?
Granting that the team is playing better of late, if we win both the remaining series, we end up with 11 conference wins. Maybe the rainouts cost us another win, maybe they didn't.
I'm happy to see it after the 0-6 start, but I don't see it as turning a corner.
It's more like the guy who runs a 10K at a leisurely pace for the first 5 miles, then after most of his age group is too far ahead for him to catch them, picks up the pace to a respectable level, leaving behind his fellow stragglers but never closing the gap with the leaders.
And what do we expect to see around that corner? Replacing most of the productive offense and lots of conference innings with a recruiting class ranked about 12th in the conference.
I don't see this team as getting us any closer to an at-large bid.
