Given it's so early in the season, this may be a better "scout" than anything I could write up. The first 20 minutes or so of the video is a season preview for GCU.


GCU vs Gonzaga (Baseball) - Cox7 Arizona


Notes:

Last season, GCU won the regular season WAC title, but because they were and still are "transitioning" to D1 the aren't eligible for post season play including their own conference tournament.

Andy Cox will face their ace, Jorge (pronounced as George) Perez. Perez is not over powering in terms of velocity but he has wicked stuff, he pitches versus Gonzaga in the video linked above.

All of the coaches on GCU's staff have worked with CDS in some capacity in the past.

This will be a good test for us, Cox will have to have a good outing and we'll have to get Perez off the mound. We can't afford any fielding mistakes against this team.

Should be a good one.

Thanks to the West Coast start time this will probably be the only Friday night game I will be able to watch in its entirety when I get home from work.

CDS was on radio this afternoon.

Intimated Kyle was the complaining of stiffness after that bad inning last week and at first he thought it was talk or excuses. The soreness and swelling on Monday tossing confirmed Kyle's complaints.
