You know who my heart goes out to???  Our Defense.  Did you see the look on Mahelona's face at the end?  He's sitting on the bench and he's like:  "What in the hell do we have to do???"

Our offense is among the 10-20 worst IN THE NATION.  Our special teams very well may be THE WORST IN THE NATION.  That's embarrassing.  Embarrassing.

If this was supposed to be the game that defined our team, I think you have your definition.  If this was the coaches' chance to prove that in two weeks we could get an underachieving, mistake-prone team to score some points and learn how to play the kicking game -- what do they say now?  I need answers, and I need them soon.

Ladies and gentlemen:  for the second time in 3 years, WE HAVE LOST TO ALABAMA, GEORGIA, AND FLORIDA.

This is the kinda job I want where job performance has no bearing on job security...CPF...Did you know you have a period before you can file for unemployment after being fired?

This is pathetic. Poor offense or not, we had a chance to win every game this year and blew them all with penalties, turnovers, crappy special teams play, and just plain stupid mistakes. I have defended Fulmer all year but if I see him pat another player on the back and clap his hands after a turnover I am going to puke. There is absolutely no excuse for the mental mistakes and turnovers this team has been spewing out every week. How hard is it to cover up the f***ing ball at the goal line?!?!?!?!? The lack of discipline is just absolutely pathetic. I don't know if I have ever been so dissapointed after a game....this is sickening.

That's the biggest thing I noticed after the game, too. Mahelona's face was just pitiful. I feel so sorry for these guys...they play their heart out every game, and most certainly deserve to be on a National Championship team. Instead, they're stuck with an offense who scores 3 points (without the help of the defense) in two games.

Corey Anderson needs a swift kick to the nads

i was just about to drink myself stupid when i read your comment...too funny and too true!

I'm not as mad at Anderson for the fumbel. That was a solid hit on the football. It's still his responsibility though. I'm really pissed about the penalties. We had it 1st @ goal from the 4. Two penalties forced us into that play. Where is the dicipline? It's past time for some changes in K-Town.

I want to call up our D and invite them over.

And then, tomorrow, call up our "Special" (like the miniature bus) Teams and invite them over. . . . . to clean up the mess.

And then, on Monday, call up our O and kick them in the nuts.

Actually this is much more than 10 years bad...only two teams in UT HISTORY have been THIS bad...

The 1958 Tennessee Volunteers:
10 games
77 First Downs*
854 Rushing Yards
7 Rushing Touchdowns
46-87 Pass Att./Comp.
486 Passing Yards
3 Passing Touchdowns
10 Total Touchdowns
1300 Total offensive yards*
77 Total points for the year*
94 Punts *(all-time high)

The 1964 Tennessee Volunteers:
10 games
85 First Downs
839 Rushing Yards*
6 Rushing Touchdowns*
53-115 Pass Att./Comp.
681 Passing Yards
2 Passing Touchdowns*
8 Total Touchdowns*
1520 Total Offensive Yards
80 Total Points for the year
77 Punts

*=Team Record Lows

I tried to find our year-to-date stats to do a comparison, but they have all been removed from the UTSports.com website. :shakehead:
