Official Tennessee vs. Georgia Game Thread - 1:00 ET - CBS/cbssports.com

I don't care about this team anymore (this season). I'm done. They are too inconsistent. The fundamentals just aren't there. Ultimately I put the blame on the coaching staff for recruiting these players that just don't fit together as a team. Terrible game, terrible stretch the last few weeks, terrible all around. 2011 bball season is over in my mind. I wish pearl was suspended this season so that they could start back fresh next year.

Don't let the door hit...........

As both have in nearly every loss of ours this season. But no, let's blame it on the refs.

There is absolutely no way any reasonable person can possibly blame this loss on the refs. We dug a deep hole in the first 10 minutes, played well for the next 20, then crapped out for the last 10. Playing well for half a game is not going to lead to victory against decent opposition.

Game turning point was BABY P inserted in the game just under 6 minutes he throws a training league pass to Hopson (who is back cutting) wide open and we blow opportunity there and then on Georgia possession he's guarding the best big man in SEC HUGE mis-match 4 point swing right there... Keep on playing BABY P

Bruce sucks.... NCAA please give him 1-2 year vacation

Not even worth commenting on.

We are fine. The hardest schedule in the nation helps us with huge wins as well. Tennessee is getting in. Maybe not an attractive seed but they are in. Even if it started tomorrow. Barring a complete collapse from this point forward.

They're not fine. Vandy, Kentucky and a return date with pesky Carolina could all be losses they way this is going. They may have to win 3 in the SEC tourney to get in at this rate.

Hopson still didn't need to take the 3, especially since we had two post guys basically all alone underneath.

Hopson was the only one scoring , Id rather see him shoot with 4 guys in his face than Melvin shooting it wide open.Until Pearl stops rotating players in every 2 min and keeps Mcmiss and Pearl jr on the bench and play Bones alot more, this is how things are going to go.BP has lost his edge and has made this team what it is.

How in the world is this pitiful of a team getting in we have 11 losses. We'll be lucky to go 3-1 next four 2-2 is most likely case we won't win tourney NO way this team plays well in four straight games in 4 days we may make a run but NO way we win tourney too inconsistant. We'll have 13 maybe 14 losses come NCAA Tournament I don't see us getting in unless we make to SEC Tourney Title Game. We'll just get in and be cussing b/c we'll lose a game we should win or we'll shoot one from 80 feet down 1...

I'm fine with Steven getting PT for defensive purposes only. McBee is alright as long as it's a PG-only role. Bone needs to play a lot more, I agree. At least Golden was removed from the rotation.

also, in the begrudging credit where it's due department, Georgia kept their poise against our presses and traps in the last 5 minutes. They can play with just about anyone if they can keep it together for 40 minutes. You know, kind of like us.

sorry but i'm going to have to dissagree. 5th in the east isn't going to get us in the tourney. How many SEC teams do you think will make it in?

You do realize this is one of the weakest at-large fields ever, right? Unless we completely bomb out we should be alright on Selection Sunday.

Five, assuming UGA makes it and UF/UK/Vandy wins the tournament. Alabama won't get an at-large spot (lowest RPI to make the field as an at-large is 74; Alabama's is 92).

If we take care of South Carolina and Miss St., we'll be in.

If we go 2-2 over our last 4, losing at Vandy and to UK, we go into the SEC tournament at 18-13, 8-8 in the conference. RPI will take a substantial hit, too. You really feel safe with those numbers? At a bare minimum, one SEC tournament win would be mandatory.

Well, I'm assuming one SEC tourney win against the atrocious SEC west wouldn't be too difficult. 19-14, 8-8 would get us in the 8-10 seed range.

Personally I would rather just beat Georgia at home then worry about the tourney. It's obvious unless we get incredibly lucky draws this team is one and done in any tourney.
