Official Tennessee vs Villanova game thread - 5:00 ET - ESPN

The refs will even this game out no matter what it takes.

If you look at all the Big East vs other conference games this year, there is a crystal clear pattern.

ND had 16 more FTs than Georgia, and Georgia was slashing more than they were.

100% agree with this post.

good d with a lead and quite honestly, had we played smarter, we would be up by 15.
Quick shot selection with about 5 minutes to go cost us a few points.
Too many fouls. On Belmont pace right now.

Agree that we shot too fast but the shot where they said Cam Tatum shot too fast was not the case.

He was fouled on his 3 pointer, and that was exactly what he was looking for. He does not shoot airballs that miss by 7 feet. The guy got the ball some, but he also got hands and shoulders etc.

Totally unrelated. Cam Newton may have just locked up the Heisman with that comeback.

Tenn foul count - 15
Nova foul count - 14

Its been pretty even so far.

It has been called even because when you are bigger down low and keep feeding post players who are being assaulted, the refs have a hard time swallowing the whistle.

The palming call they called on Nova was unexpected. What they heck? I would say palming could be called in every game I have watched this year. It never is.

The refs are consistently awful for both sides. That is an insane amount of first half fouls. Totally killing this game and turned it into a game of horse. Barf.

Agree. Shotgun snap jump over 9 Alabama defenders to get the first down should be the play they show in NYC when they announce him along with 2 or 3 of his Vince Young runs.

So true. Palming happens way more than it is ever called. I can't understand some of these foul calls on our bigs who are getting backed down. They are entitled to their space so they aren't going to just let them force them under the basket. It has to be a nocall at the very least.
