Danny White is gambling his career.

Start looking ahead for men’s coaches NOW if this is the best the women could get.

Doubt many will care as long as football is winning, but this gives me no faith in him when he goes to replace Rick Barnes. We better hope Rick stays around for several more years.

Now that's it's official.. I don't hate the hire, there alot of reasons I see that make sense and could be sold.
- reminds me of Heup stylistically, in that she runs an aggressive high octane exciting innovative offense, press defense. Young up and comer with winning history, likeable, intelligent, energetic.

I just felt there were several better candidates that could be had. Therefore have to assume she knocked the interviews out of park and really impressed DW.

I think she will endear fans soon enough but as always the key will be how quickly does she win. She definitely has star potential. But "potential" isnt the term I thought should be associated with this hire.

Oh well, time to recruit hard, hit the portal and see where what happens

Tell that to the other 13 coaches that got their ***** whipped by her...IN YEAR ONE 😅 A coach can only perform vs what's in front of them.

Great coaches exist everywhere. Ask Pearl, Heupel, Oates....hell Pat had never even coached before and voila.

Winning coaches are winning coaches.
Winning coaches are winning coaches.

A Missouri State team that's been to two Final Fours and then made the Sweet Sixteen again the non-COVID season following her departure. KJH's ceiling will always be relative mediocrity.
what makes this hire any better? She couldn’t even beat an injured and beaten Virginia Tech team??

Am I the only one excited by this? All she does is win.

Caldwell is 217-31 in eight seasons as a head coach -- earning eight NCAA berths across two divisions and winning seven total conference championships. Marshall was picked to finish ninth in the preseason Sun Belt media poll, but under Caldwell, the Thundering Herd averaged 85.3 points per game (fourth nationally) and forced 24.2 turnovers per game (second nationally).
Great. Finally, we will see the LVs focus on offense as well the LVs' tradition of defense and rebounding. Welcome KC. GBO.

Stated it from day 1 it would be a Mid Major coach.

1. These established and successful coaches from power 4 conferences aren't leaving.
2. Some may be mad but Tennessee isn't a big name in Women's college basketball as it was 10 or 20 years ago. This job is a rebuild that obviously no major player wants.

what team did KS take to the sweet 16? no one’s saying she a bad coach, but she’s so inexperienced. she needed more time to develop relationships with D1 recruits before being thrown in the D1 fire.

Yep, she lost as a thirteen seed against a much better Virginia Tech roster. Still managed to deliver Marshall their best season ever in *checks notes* her first and only season with the program.
Thing about that game as her team had 82 offensive possessions to their 67. The bad thing is they only shot 24 percent of those 82 possessions.
