I'm all Vol and what a great win but if Vandy is the 4th best team after the way they looked in the, what, 5th inning when we scored and took the lead, then we have some really weak teams this year....but great concentration by the YOUNG Vols and hopefully they grew up a little tonight....Serrano understands the game so well....he is one of the best IMO....

What a masterpiece.

Vols have had late inning comeback wins this season but I can't recall them having a this kind of win vs a top 25 team whether conference or not in a long time.
Valiant vols as to come back for a 0-2 then 3-2 and then hit the ball deep to have two runs score off a first rate closer.
Topnotch win you dream and hope for it on Saturday night it was a reality.



Major rebound after the horrid heartbreaker of game one.
Vols can make this a weekend that vandy, vols fans and others shall remember this season if they are able to win game 3.
Major statement made if they were to win considering the egregious game one loss rebounding with a topnotch come
Back winning a series vs top rated vandy in game two, and if they were to win two in a row.

This team continues to grow, fight and refuses to quit. Adversity reveals character the vols got out of the mire of a losing streak, and in the best way with a 9th inning comeback win vs number 4 vandy.
The vols could live in the past or flourish in the present and they did the second today.

Like the Tc Williams Titans the vols are a team that shines with dramatic late come from behind wins.

(7) Vanderbilt at Tennessee: In the second crazy SEC game, Tennessee snapped a six-game losing streak to Vanderbilt with a come-from-behind, 10-9 win, which tied the series. Down 9-8 with two outs in the ninth, Vols freshman Nathaniel Maggio, who’d just entered the game in the top of the ninth on defense, hit a walk-off two-run single on a 3-2 pitch against Vandy closer Carson Fulmer. The teams had taken turns putting up crooked numbers earlier in the game, highlighted by Tennessee’s six-fun fourth followed by Vandy’s four-run fifth. The loss spoiled a huge night from Commodores shortstop Vince Conde, who went 4-for-5 with a double, a homer a two steals.
