OFFICIAL VOLS COMMIT LIST as the LOIs come in -- 2/4

All these playmakers are great but where are the DTs and OL? We have 1 of each? That is just sad, and scary as hell.

HUGE!!! for 2010

The University of Tennessee football program is still piecing together its 2009 class, but the Volunteers have added a big linchpin for 2010.

Ooltewah junior star Jacquez Smith committed to UT, Owls coach Benny Monroe told The Times Free Press this morning.

Smith, 6-foot-3, 240-pound defender, has been called one of the nation’s best junior defenders by several recruiting services.

As for UT’s 2009 class, today’s recruits are being broken down into four frequently-updated categories — “Enrolled in January,” “Signed with UT today,” “Signed Elsewhere,” “Committed” and “Waiting Word.”

Brew up some coffee and feverishly hit the refresh button, because we’ll be here all day.

Kiffin’s press conference is scheduled for 5:30 p.m., but it’s entirely possible that UT’s class won’t be completed at that point. Some prospects have mentioned the possibility of waiting a few days.

If Kif has signed Teague, Gordon & King he did a good job with the state. Fulmer may have been able to get Brown but Brown's motives are not necessarily in alignment with where the program is going. Remember it was reported that was not necessarily interested in playing in the NFL when Kiffin was first announced. I think that was a sign that it would be difficult to land him because is criteria were so subjective. Maybe Brown will surprise us. I would think the opportunity to be part of a Tennessee resurgence, NFL or no, would have great allure.

TFP guys watching VN?...

I think peeps are getting confused on the Richardson thing. I don't think we're landing Trent and are just confirming that we picked up Nu'Keese.

Trent Richardson is not coming here, so if someone says Richardson, they are talking about Nuke.

From Myles: "I prayed about it and honestly I had a dream," Myles said. "In the dream I was returning an interception in a Tennessee uniform. I actually had that dream Monday night and Tuesday night and after prayer and those dreams I knew Tennessee was the place."
