if he knows whats good for him yes. I think he is kind of being a baby feeling all this pressure and having to rethink everything, which is kind of annoying. But if we land him i believe it will be great, but my feelings wont be that hurt.

Brown, for sure.

He is an every down back whereas Oku is not. He has good hands, lateral quickness, power, and top end speed. He basically has everything Oku has in a larger package. Brown is MADE to play in the SEC. Oku would be especially good in special packages, but we have recruited other guys who can fill that role: Teague, Nuke.

That being said, I would def. take both. + Orson Charles

I still don't know the answer... Brown has wierd strings attached to him...

OKU is as dedicted as urban meyer is to TN

So... i would say its a coin toss... but definitely pick up OC

Does anybody have news on the RB? Heard he was still torn between us and So Miss. I cant believe So Miss could even begin to land a prospect of that calibur lol Wow, what a waste of talent if he stays at So Miss!

Yeah, I know he was committed to So Miss. But, I could have sworn that he was still thinking about us. Thought he was one of those "still undecided" commits like Bryce Brown.

im not sure why people are concerned about where we placed nationally in recruiting. The high ranks mean nothing if you cant coach the team you have. Just thought it was interesting what UTs rankings by scout.com have been for UT the last 7 yrs. You might find this interesting to know that in the last seven yrs. UT has been ranked: 2008 (#not in top 25), 07 (#4), 06 (#24), 05(#1), 04(#9), 03(#7), 02(#5). This just goes to show you that the ranking dont mean squat if a coach cant take a team that has the talent that has been in the top 10 5 of the last 7 yrs. and have nothing to show for it.

I always remember the year Nebraska killed Florida in the bowl game -- the previous 4 years Nebraska didn't have a top 25 class.

Those big farm boys don't get any stars until they got to the weight room for a couple of years.

Only been here since late fall,,, am not familiar with last year or years before. Did (that other football coach) also offer like 80 kids in the beginning weeks after NSD? It seems like coach is picking something like 80 or 100 kids, making them offers, then working them hard to get our 25 or so out of that 100.

Did not know what the previous regime did.

the old staff was moving towards offering younger guys, but they were behind the times.

expect the new staff to offer elite sophomores and the best of the in-state guys as juniors.

and I routinely expect 60-80 offers on the table every year for rising seniors right after NSD.

also, this staff is working with recruiting/consultant agencies which travel the country with briefcases/laptops/dvds of recruiting notes and video footage. they're going to look high & low for the best of the best.

*edit: by the way I mean verbal offers for sophomores. you can't give a written offer till the player reaches his junior year of high school.
