The Big East has an inflated perception because of the early December non-conference performance. No way they deserve 7 teams in the dance. A lot of bracketologists still have Xavier in who absolutely should not be in with how they closed out the year.

Exactly! At times these projectors use NET and at other times they ignore it and use other metrics or the “eye test” to justify their bias.

I get that but that’s considered in their NET ranking of 78. They don’t deserve to be in just because of a few good wins. The whole body of work is mediocre.

I think they are but agree that today would make me feel better, losing to Indiana wouldn’t be a great idea.
