I was gonna say the same thing. This is a win-win game for the SEC and ESPN. If UT wins, they’ll be talking a return to the SECCG and playoffs. If UGA wins, the slobbering will continue.
Wonder how well we travel vs Georgia fans if it’s even a consideration.I got news for you…. We are the media darling now …. SEC wants UT in the playoff more than Georgia- we can win the whole damn thing, while Georgia cannot.
Holding on Georgia. Watch -
Much ofwhat people claim is holding isn’t - offensive players can grab wit h their hands as long as they keep their arms insider their body and they push…if you pull it’s holding.I see the "blatant hold" posts when we're on D but never see "we got away with a hold there" from you ref watchers.
Call it fair yourself before you go after the refs.
I'm extremely aware but they'll insist grabbing inside is holding.Much ofwhat people claim is holding isn’t - offensive players can grab wit h their hands as long as they keep their arms insider their body and they push…if you pull it’s holding.
This is holding

I think part of the problem is that we have so many more views. Up close and in high definition and replayed multiple times in slow motion. Officiating in all sports needs to figure out how to use technology to improve the quality and accuracy of the calls without negatively impacting the game. We can’t do a detailed review on every play without killing the rhythm of the game.Officiating is awful in every game you watch nowadays for whatever reason. Basketball games are almost unwatchable.

I agree. Part of it too the general lack of belief in all systems in America. People don't trust anyone in authority or enforcement and there's lots of feeling that "everything is crooked" so everything is fixed or rigged.I think part of the problem is that we have so many more views. Voice of reason. How is it possible to be a fan of football and not watch games every weekend and realize every team gets screwed by officials.
You wanna know why?
Because A. officiating football is hard and B. most officials ain't very good at it.
It's a largely a bunch of people way past their prime trying to keep track of what some of the greatest athletes on this planet are doing. And even if they happen to be capable of keeping up with that, so much is going on per play that keeping track of it all consistently is an extremely difficult task even for the greatest officials to ever live.
No one is against the Vols. No one is against Georgia. Both teams have been the beneficiary of awful calls this year, both have been the victim of it. Both are probably going to both be the beneficiary of and victim of it in this game tonight too.
I think you're right but it's also more that they lack trust of anything that doesn't go the way they want or think it should.I agree. It really cuts down on the enjoyment of life in general when they feel anything bad that happens to them or "their side" is due to the deck being stacked or ESPN hates us or Vegas wanted it or whatever.
Hell, if that's how you feel ..... stop wasting your time following whatever it is.
Yeah. People haven't been raised to believe that things, even when they really, really, really should go your way, sometimes don't go your way.I think you're right but it's also more that they lack trust of anything that doesn't go the way they want or think it should.
