I mean, come on man. Bray more talented than Heath Shuler? The third pick in the draft? :eek:lol:

Stats don't lie. Bray was more accurate and was a better pure passer. Shuler could run, but I believe Bray will end up having a lot more success in the NfL than Shuler did. I don't understand why our fan base hates the second best qb to ever play at Tennessee. Face it with a mediocre defense in 2012 Tyler Bray would have won ten games, and been a 1st round pick.

Favorite memory of Clausen is the hail mary to James Banks at Florida just a few seconds before half time. Seeing the expression of those 4 Florida d.b's when Banks made that catch! Priceless!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

NOt me, personally, but my guess would be that we see ALOT of potential from Bray, but the impression is that he didn't try hard enough to be the best he could be.

Didn't give effort to reach his full potential!!

That is the impression!

I, personally had hoped he would have returned for his senior season. In that case, I could easily see a couple more wins this season, to put us in a bowl game. Just look at some of the ineffective q.b. play that we had at times during games this season. Maybe not ineffective q.b. play for an entire game but ineffective enough to cause us to lose a game or two. Florida comes to mind!!!! Georgia comes to mind!!!!

He would have made the Oregon game look a little better, would have been sat out the Florida game for taking money, probably would have gotten the money paid back and returned for the Georgia or South Carolina game.

In this scenario, Worley probably would have played in his place for the Florida and South Alabama game. With Worley, we might have beaten Florida. We probably would have beaten UGA and USC when Bray got back. We would have beaten Vandy too. Then we probably play in the Outback Bowl or Capital One Bowl, which either would be another potential win. So, with Bray, I think we would have won 4 more games and bUTch would have been sitting at 9-4 his first season here.

Everybody hates the "what if" game, but I think Bray would have really benefitted by staying here. He would have been drafted for sure. And CBJ likes to operate out of the gun, so on passing plays, Bray would have been comfortable.

Btw, my favorite memory of Bray was his swagger his freshman year. He came in and started dropping bombs. D Mo and Bray had the "going loco" thing. It made me feel good to be a Vol.

If we had gotten Bray in the 90's, or if Fulmer was still here and we were still playing like it was the 90's, I honestly think Bray would've fared much better. I think part of his 'attitude problem' was that he had Dooley as a HC. Also, no matter how many points he scored, the D would put him back on the field after giving up 7 in a matter of 2-3 minutes tops.

I'm not excusing his behavior or 'quitter' mentality that many have coined him with, just trying to see the world from his shoes a little. No one can deny the arm talent he has.

I'm here. He may have had a quitter mentality, but for the most part, that's on the coaches. It's obvious he and others were pretty frustrated with some of the same follies the fans were.
