Was I the only person who would have rather Alabama win than Tebow win?
I have no qualms whatsoever pulling for Florida or any other SEC team not from Knoxville to lose any game they play, unless it somehow helps the Vols. It just doesn't make sense to me to hope for an SEC foe to strengthen their program with a big win.I can't believe some of you would pull for the Big 12 over the SEC.
I swore that I would root for Florida in the title game against whoever they played. I also swore I would root against Bammer no matter who they played.
If Bammer were playing the All-Stars of al-Qaeda, I'd be tempted to put on a turban and brandish a cutlass.

About two months ago I was on a road trip and eating at a bar. Sitting next to me was an engineer from Bama. Amazingly enough I was able to keep my food down. Which is more than I could hope for if it was a Vandy fan dinning next to me.
Anyway the talk eventually turned to SEC football. I mentioned that Florida was problably the class of the SEC now. They had rebounded from their Ole Miss loss and were ripping everyone a new one.
The Sam Elliott look-a-like bama fan took a bite of his steak and said that Bama could handle them. I didn't argue. Just took another drink.
In his world Bama was already the best team in the land. This Bama arrogance could not go unchecked all season. Be happy that the Gators exposed them without Harvin.
Bruce is the man isn't he.Here's a quick story from Bruce Pearl's visit the other day. A guy from the VASF (former UT center) said he stopped in Boaz, AL on the drive down to Bham.
The guy asked about Kiffin and our rep told him - "He's hit the ground running. Already 3 guys have decommitted from Alabama and our looking to come to UT" He said the guy looked like someone just shot his dog...
