'20 OH OL Paris Johnson Jr.

Interestingly enough his close friends are planning officials to Tennessee. Darrion Henry is eyeing the 14th of June. Jaheim Thomas is not sure but does plan to give Tennessee one. Johnson said Pruitt was very honest with him and told him, “if we don’t win 8-9 game this year, don’t consider us. We aren’t on track.” So that should tell you where the expectations are.

I kinda like it. But if that’s the pitch, don’t expect any highly rated commitments any time soon. They’re all in wait and see mode because Pruitt told them to be.

Sorry to ask but that's huge -
You're not loosely paraphrasing or anything, he actually said Pruitt tol him 8/9 wins or....?

Spoke with him today, “I love the coaching staff but Knoxville is not the place for me.” Not interested in a rebuild. Wants to win a title
Lol. He might want to change his mind in playing for Ohio State then. They’ll be good for a couple of years but then regress. Meyer is a douche but he’s a helluva coach. They will regress without his coaching and recruiting

Me neither. But it backs up the notion that he's honest and isn't gonna bs his way around.

I guess the good news is if we do win 8 or 9 we should close well lol

If we win 7 regular season and then a bowl I think we can count it.

Lol, of course it won’t when we win 6 games this year. 7 wins this year is overachieving IMO.

I still have my doubts that that’s what they’re actually telling kids, though. Predicting 8-9 wins this year is insane.

DL is a huge question mark, but literally every other position should be improved. Our schedule is much better and every one of our east opponents outside of UGA, and maybe Florida, will be taking a step back. We’ve averaged somewhere in the neighborhood of 10 spots ahead of just about every opponent on schedule in recruiting rankings save for 3 of them. 8 wins allows for those 3 losses +1 more. I wouldn’t bet a bunch of money on 8 wins, but 8 wins isn’t in any way insane either.
