'22 OH TE Brody Foley (Indiana commit)

Lmao no it’s not. This kid was likely very aware of his situation. If he didn’t want to take the chance of this happening, he should’ve committed to ETSU.

Put yourself in the kid’s shoes. Let’s not forget, the staff pursued him and took his commitment. It’s not like we’re killing it down the stretch. Josh Heupel should have honored his commitment to this young man.

You’ve been around long enough to understand it, so you just continue to be down on the staff. This happens everywhere.

No..he shouldn’t have. We need the spot on another position for WINS. Things change over the course of a season. This is big boy ball

We need all the spots we can get. If this kid couldn’t cut it, he should not have a scholarship. These are million dollar decisions for these coaches. Maybe SEC football fandom isn’t for you.

You've been doing nothing but complaining about the quality of this class, then the coaches process a commit to make room for higher quality players, and you complain about that.

I guess if you like Nixon & Campbell and you were able to redshirt both, you can kinda punt the position for a year knowing Ethan Davis is committed. I’m more curious what this means for 2022 prospects. You turned away CJ Smith to not sign 5 WRs, which makes sense. You’re likely to miss on Agu, Scott, and M’ba. West, Pearce, Moten, Jacas, Gilbert and Tolan are all up in the air. Justin Williams will be a Vol. Verse is a transfer which doesn’t count towards the 25. 17 commits with Foley removed. 18 with Williams. 24 with the 6 above. Where’s the last spot going?
We basically have 25 +4 extra portal player spots I think right now. Wonder if we are taking less then 25 as part of a “NCAA self imposed punishment” cause I don’t see us getting anywhere close to 8 more HS players.

Actually yes, let’s put ourselves in his shoes. He still needs to find a team. Do you think teams will back off from offering him because of his mom. Absolutely. This is going to hurt him from other opportunities. Needs to suck it up and move on. In these instances too, coaches help and recommend landing spots for these kids (coaching network is pretty expansive). Im sure that’s not getting advertised.

What did she say? Already deleted.

Its such a double standard. Kids can decide on a better situation at any time, but coaches cant decide on a better situation for their program that they are paid millions and highly scrutinized by national media to run well?

Would Heupel get on and bash this kid when he gets here, realizes he isnt getting playing time and transfers?

I hate it puts the kid in a tight squeeze, but I'm also sure that Heupel isnt doing the whole, "you cant visit anyone else or talk to anyone else, or else you're gone."
