Oh What I would Give for Lunardi's 03/08 Bracketology to be right

The Memphis-UT pod is why I only look at how Lunardi seeds the teams and pay no attention to the matchups. The Selection Committee attempts to avoid second-round rematches and thus would probably not put Memphis next to UT like that. Lunardi doesn't take the time to review everyone's schedule.

Duke's problem with UT would be our length; we may be the best 3 point defensive team they will have seen all year; and Wayne Chism and JP Prince would have their bigs fouled out or watching dunks all game long.

Baylor is a touch match-up, but you aren't going to get a cake-walk to the Final Four. Duke is a dream as a #1. I definitely want to be in their bracket.

#4 vs. #5 is always going to be a tough or "scary" match up unless their best player that got them that high of a seed isn't injured or out or something. Never going to be easy past the 1st round when you draw anything higher than a #1 or #2 - even then - isn't always the case.

I'd wait to see how Baylor does in the Big 12 tourney before I'd establish an opinon on how they would match up to the Vols.

Other than that, "Duke is Duke. They're on tv more than Leave it to Beaver reruns."

Baylor is a very good team. I've seen them play a few times this year. I would rather play Maryland because UT has proven they can shut down one man teams. (The comparison being Vasquez to Downey). I know Maryland is more talented than USCe but still..

Lunardi is accurate as far as which teams will get in. He can't predict where they will be seeded or who they will play. No one can.
