Honestly, the committee probably wouldn't require OSU to have won their conference championship anyway. If things hold the way they currently were looking to be, OSU would still get another game against a ranked team (they'd play the #2 in the West that weekend instead of being in the Big 10 Championship...who looks to be #16 Iowa. Considering playing #14 Northwestern was supposed to be more than enough for them, it's not too much of a drop-off competition-wise). With OSU pretty much already having been guaranteed a spot for an undefeated season based on the way the rankings have been before this, that'd still likely be more than enough.

The Big 10 Championship Game - to OSU at this point - is pretty much just a matter of whether or not Ohio State automatically gets in without any question/discussion or instead gets in after somewhat of a milder "should Ohio State have been in over A&M" type of discussion (which wouldn't be nearly as intense as people would want it to be, the committee would still probably say yes to that).

Several have suggested that OSU and TAMU have a 'play-in' game.... sounds good to me

I’m shocked. I don’t even think blue font is needed. The Big 10 has looked like complete morons this year. We’re not playing and we know everyone will follow us. Oh wait, you mean everyone didn’t follow us? Oh crap! We can’t let the SEC do something we aren’t! Ok, we will play 8 games. To qualify for the championship game you have to play 6 of those games. What? Ohio St only played 5? Never mind about that rule that we probably spent hours arguing. Had it been Northwestern then no problem but our cash cow needs to win the conference. We can’t chance them missing the playoff, not that they would anyway.

I hope the Buckeyes don't get in Big 10 Championship with only 3-4 games played. Know they didn't lose. They will whine if they don't! I agree that Ohio St and Texas A&M should play each other. Was glad the Aggies beat Florida (don't care for them).
