Ohio State (Big 10 Fans)

Have had many a drunk argument with Big Ten (mostly Ohio St) fans about which conference is stronger. Might be the most delusional fanbase in the country.

Not to mention one of the most pr!ckish. I HATE Suckeye fans. Almost clocked a 70 y/o man who was screaming in my face BEFORE the Citrus bowl in '96. I didn't want to hit an elderly person so I walked away. AFTER the game, the Suckeye fans were MUCH more tolerable...

My fourth grade teacher was from zanesville, Oh and a HUGE buckeye fan.
He had a sign above his desk that said,
"god is a buckeye too" he use to give me
hell every day!! When we busted their
ass in the citrus bowl I let him have it! But all jokes aside he was a damn good teacher his only down fall he was a buckeye loving Yankee lol

Why do they continue to even talk about the SEC? I mean obviously by my name you can tell where I live...but it is not stop up here about how the Big 10 is great and the SEC is over-rated. I mean I heard from everyone of them when the Vols lost to NC. I just have a hard time understanding why somebody that is 0-9 in their last 9 against a conference is soooo worried about what the SEC is doing. I know most of you don't root for other SEC schools in bowl games but I pull for them big time against the little 10, because I can't stand to listen to it anymore! Any thoughts? Thanks! GO VOLS!

I live in Chicago & deal with this as well. You have to understand that Big 10 fans are by definition slightly delusional. It's just that OSU fans are clinical. They have Delusional Disorder with highly obnoxious features. Look it up in the DSM. I may have added the obnoxious features bit, but seriously, OSU fans are the worst in biz.

See, after going 0-5 on NY day, most Big 10 fans will shut their yapper. There is some sense with Iowa, Mich St., Mich, Penn St. etc fans. OSU will not. They are like viral minions of rabid dogs, all suffering the same virus & they spread it to each other, & then spread amongst the States & infect or offend others who no longer want to be near them due to repulsion or fear...fear of contracting this malady.

What to do about it? Well, considering the ease of entrance standards & ~55k enrollment they have, meaning that nearly 20k new imbecils graduate from there every year with the sickness, there really is no treatment or cure. Wholesale destruction of Columbus would be really the only prevention, but the rabid dogs would descend on their lair, & rebuild the viral factory.

So, what'ya gonna do? My advice: if you see red, run the other way.

There's not much more to add to this thread than has already been said. I love my home state, but I've said for many years that the only thing that I cannot stand about Ohio is having to deal with Ohio State and their particularly virulent brand of yahoos. I've also said for years that the person who will do more good things for the state of Ohio than anyone else in history will be the one who can usurp Ohio State as the premier football program in the state. We've got something like 50 universities and colleges, and 90% of the students and alumni root for Ohio State, followed by their school.

I retired from the Goodyear plant in Union City Tn. in 2009.

The plant located 3miles or so from Ky. state line so lots of mildcat fans. Also because they have plants all across the country we had: Alabama Auburn Mich. Mich. St. Ohio St. Oklahoma Nebraska Texas USC West Virgina a real UN of football fans.

By far the worst were big 10 fans who not stand losing to redneck hillbilly hicks who they tought were inferior in every way.

What ever it was they did it first and better.

Keep the SEC streak alive, Hogs! Or as John Ward said regarding Eddie George meeting Bill Duff: "He did NOT make it!"

I live in PA and hear the same crap all the time about the mighty big ten.. I tell the to look at the championships, look at this years bowl performance, and except this year, whenever Penn state plays an sec team in a bowl game, the weather and field is always terrible.taking away the sec speed. And then they lose to Florida and i said see, a good field and you lose to a mediocre Florida team... Then they start on me about academics... I tell em to go get lost and laugh.

Just to clarify, I'm not a Yankee. I'm an Ohioan.:p

Keep the SEC streak alive, Hogs! Or as John Ward said regarding Eddie George meeting Bill Duff: "He did NOT make it!"

I talked to Bill Duff after an Arena League game a few years back (he was playing with the Columbus Destroyers), and asked whether anyone ever gave him a hard time about that game. He said something along the lines of, "I think all their bowl losses run together, so no one remembers that specific moment."

I have to say, I was pulling for Michigan St. and Penn St, but it was also nice to see the big 10 go 0 for Saturday.
