I personally think it was a family vibe and better fit.

"Ohio State was willing do that (make a big NIL offer) in this instance," said Birmingham. "They were willing to pay David Sanders, from my understanding, more money than the rest of the offensive line currently makes. Or close to it. This was not a money issue. This was a closer to home issue."

And a girlfriend issue! Biggest NIL tool out there!

just listen to what AP has said multiple times about this recruitment. It wasn’t about NIL. It was about relationships and feel. Sanders was gonna get big money wherever he chose. I am sure we have him a very good NIL deal. But in the end, it was more than money.

OSU tears are delightful. We might as well get used to this. From here on out when we beat out programs like OSU, UGA and Bama for elite recruits, they are going to cry it was all about money.

Ohio State is spending like drunken sailors on NIL.
tOSU probably has as many grads as any P5 program and has lots of resources across the board.

They've been a top team in their conference for many years and the delusions of grandeur have set in.

I remember the 90's as a Vol football fan...

David told everyone why he came. They just didn’t want to hear it. He said:

“I knew Tennessee was going to be the one after my official visit in June,” Sanders said. “It was just that family atmosphere. When people say, I go and got that feel, it was one of those moments. I was sitting in Coach Heupel’s office, we had a good conversation, me, my mom, my dad, and my grandparents just sitting in there. I was like, “yeah, this is it.” Obviously, I took the rest of my officials just to see and hear everybody else out, but I knew from then I was going to be a Tennessee Vol.”
