More impressive win, Louisville winning at home or Ohio State winning in Norman?

Urbie keeps it on the gas.

Yep, unfortunately for Stoops, that ain't Butch Jones on OSU's sideline.....Urbs won't take a knee for 2 quarters and invite OU to win the game...this one's over and the score will likely only get worse for OU.

OU can still win the Big-12 but any national goals are dead...that's gotta be demoralizing for a playoff team from last year

This UofL team is so much more mature than last year's. Jackson has grown leaps and bounds from his FR year.

Houston will know how to defend Lamar Jackson.

Because they have their own Lamar Jackson in Greg Ward.

And Houston is really fast and physical. Well coached. Just like Louisville. It's a toss up, but I think Houston is a little tougher.

And the more OU struggles, the more it hurts the argument for Houston making the CFP should they win out, as well.

Just what exactly is the basis for the "Big Game Bob" nickname? Outside of beating Alabama in the Sugar Bowl a few years ago, the big victories have been few and far between.

My boss (huge OU fan) said it best. When OU is highly ranked coming into the season, they tend to suck pretty bad. But when underrated (like last season) they do much better.

I still think an undefeated Houston would get the nod into the playoffs, for the novelty effect as a minimum.

He regressed like Fulmer --- still living off the NC from what 12 years ago

They're like 0-fer for finishing in the top 5 when they start the preseason in the top 5 under Stoops. I heard that stat preseason. Had they done it this year it would've been the 1st time or something I believe.

There's no need/concern for novelty by the playoff committee though.

If OU ends up like a 6-6 team, the view/response is just going to be "well they beat OU, but it was a pretty bad OU team." As a group of 5 team, they pretty much face the same uphill battle that Boise or TCU pre-Big 12 had or that Memphis was looking at last year after beating Ole Miss (the thing at that point that would have helped then-undefeated Memphis's argument the most was said to be if Ole Miss held onto its SEC West lead from there and then won the SEC Championship in Atlanta).

At the end of the year, a large part of it is going to come down to the quality of the competition they played and since they're not in a major/power 5 conference, that's going to be weighed against them; they need their OOC opponents - especially the big ones like OU - to do really well to favor the argument of their selection.
