#1 vs #2, #11 vs # 14, #9 vs #6,, LOL Cmone on folks , These rankings are set up by companies who make their money selling their services and advertising to fans who actually believe this stuff. Do you really think their is a difference in being number 14 and being number 17? If you're considered one of the top 3 or 4 classes that's great. The difference in the next 10 to 15 is literally laughable in that there are so many factors involved, Academics, injuries, positions of need, attrition, desire and on and on.. Don't fall for the game of recruiting rankings. After the top 2 or 3, its a guess at best.

Butch had Top 5 classes and didn’t do jack sh*t with them.

Doesn’t mean anything if you don’t have a coach who can develop players properly.

This is where I think Pruitt will succeed on is developing players up to their strengths.

In all honesty the city of Columbus is awesome, lots to do and plenty to see. Campus has been beautified quit a bit over the last ten years as well, used to be a concrete nightmare. High street is heaven for a kid in college, girls and bear.

I bet the recruits bearly notice that stuff

I moved up to Columbus from Knoxville 7 years ago (after 7 years in Knoxville at UT and then working at a TV station there). Columbus is a fantastic town for students. The OSU campus is huge and surrounded by bars, clubs and shops catering to students and young adult.

On a side note, I lived in Gibbs and was around for a lot of recruiting visits. I remember asking one 5 star JUCO recruit who ended up starting with us what he thought of the cold (it was late January and around 20 degrees in East Tennessee). He said he didn't care about the cold, he just wanted to play football and make the NFL.

I have not been to Columbus since 2007 so I don't know the current situation but on my last visit I saw a decrepit downtown filled with empty buildings. I wondered how a town with a state capitol and the second largest public university in the nation could be in such crummy economic condition.

Don't make me answer this. Or I'll be extradited to the politics forum.

"Takes over" Georgia.
From the thread title, I thought the yankees were about to burn Atlanta again.
You should have said overtakes, OP.

Although rankings do have some predictive outcomes if coached correctly, Urban Cryer has underachieved for years. They really enjoy watching the CFB Playoffs from home.

Go Vols!

Wasn't just developing players, a majority of Butch's best players from his classes ended up transferring and starting at their other schools. As far as the ones he did keep, outside of a few he didn't develop sh*t

2018 Football Team Rankings

😮 WOW. I didn’t see that coming. Who thought that Georgia with 6 5* would’ve fallen no.2 in the rankings? :hi:

What I didn't see coming was this site being mistaken for one called Buckeye Nation. There I would see this being a thread worth starting.

The only time I might cheer for Tosu is if they are playing Georgia.

Honest ? , Didnt he really only have 1 top 5 class, and there were 2 SEC teams ahead of him?

It's OSU commonly. Danged if I'll acknowledge their high horse "The" OSU.

An Jawja needs to WTFA all day every day.
