What happens when you are catching up from a guy from behind and slightly off to the side? You are naturally going to end up behind and below them as their momentum and yours are going different directions. you are going to unintentionally "hip drop" them. and you want to turn that into a 15 yard penalty. what happens when an offensive blocker contacts you, or the ball carrier makes a move changing the point of contact? you tackle someone from behind or the side and you are probably going to end up on top of their lines moving in a direction that folds their body at an awkward angle. Its just physics, its not a dirty or unfair play. This thread is full of he-men—who are really tough, just ask them—talking out of their asses. It’s not just tackling low, it’s grabbing the ballcarrier, swinging yourself around, and dropping your body weight on the back of their legs.
Some of y’all would complain if your ice cream was cold. Do some research for once before you start your reactionary bitching and moaning.
ain't no toughness in my body, I couldn't even make it through a high school soccer season or pick up game in the park without getting a serious injury like a concussion, hyper extended knee, or torn ACL. Just because injuries happen doesn't mean they should be penalized. especially if you are going to fundamentally change the game.
