I've been playing with recording HD content and then re-encoding it to xVid. I just recorded 30 mins of 1080i and it is 2.2GB. :wacko:

We'll see how it looks when I compress that to 350 MB... That would translate to approximately 1.4GB for 2 hours. Unfortunately this isn't sports coverage, which has a lower compressibility. Not that it matters, the Outback Bowl is on the only sports channel that I can't record in HD. :sad:
