Addressing the NITWITS (2nd attempt)
I might even be willing to accept the unreasonable expectations comment, but you lack credibility. I would rather hope/expect for a national championship every year than to set achievable low expectations. Since you choose to hide your affiliation, I won't address that (smells like typical Bama BS though.) Just to close, I wore a Tennessee shirt on Sunday after the Auburn game; I'm a fan whatever the outcome. What do you wear on the myriad of Sundays when your team lives up to your low expectations? VOLINGA
Name calling is not allowedI HAVE CREDIBILITY CAUSE I'M NOT A VOL FAN. ALL TEAMS HOPE FOR A NATIONALCHAMPIONSHIP, U VOLS EXPECT IT! AND U HAVE
2 IN 100 PLUS YEARS! I BET YOU THINK U SHOULD BE THE 12 POINT FAVORITE SATURDAY! I DONT HIDE MY AFFILATION, COME TO MY TEAMS FORUM AND FIND ME - AND I'LL CHAT ABOUT MY TEAM IN THERE. IN HERE, WE ARE TALKING ABOUT YOUR TEAM. "GET OVER IT" AS THROW-THE-BOMB-WITH-A-30-POINT-LEAD-AND-1:20-LEFT-IN-A-GAME, WOULD SAY.
I was laughing at the VOL's responses to your attempts to make them feel ashamed about the expectations they have for their team. No matter the team REAL fans will always have high hopes and expectations for their team. So lay off. FADEPROOF
FADE- YOU ARE DISGRACING THE GEORGIA PROGRAM BY TAKING UP FOR THE VOLS ON THIS ISSUE. STOP TAKING UP FOR THESE GUYS, THEY WOULD PUSH HERSCAHLS MOMMA INTO THE STREET TO BEAT THE GEORGIA BULLDOGS AND LAUGH WHEN SHE COULDNT GET UP. KNOW WHO YOUR ENEMY IS MAN.
Sorry "truthteller", always been and always will be a Tennessee Vols fan. Can't think of a better team. Who did you have in mind?
Most 'real' fans stick with the same team through thick and thin.
This according to the NCAA prior to the season...
Phil Fulmer is 12 in winning pct among all-time coaches.
Phil Fulmer is 1st in winning pct among 'active' coaches with at least 10 seasons.

Tennessee is 2nd in SEC Championships
Tennessee is 2nd in all-time bowl appearances
Tennessee is 3rd in bowl victories
During Fulmer's tenure as coach, 116 of UT's 141 games have been televised.
Tennessee has finished in the top 25 40 times, including 23 times in the top 10.
4 Heisman runner-ups
2 consensus national championships, 5 runner-up finishes
6 national championships recognized by the NCAA
Tennessee always plays home games in front of 100,000+ fans
Consistantly has one of the highest number of players in the NFL
etc, etc, etc. ALLVOL
ALL, WITH ALL THOSE STATS, WHY DO HAVE U ONLY 2 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS?
ANSWER: MORE ARKANSAS QB'S DIDNT FALL DOWN
All i have to say is Great article... that may be my personal opinion but i think that was very well said. However i dont think we were plannin on a national title this year. were a good team but there are alot of good teams and many GREAT teams out there. So i think there are good things to come to the vols in the future obviously but alot of people praised these freshmen and they are good. But they are freshman and they will make alot worse mistakes then they have so far.. Mark it down 7ILIKEORANGE7
THANK YOU I LIKE. YOU DONT HAVE TO AGREE WITH ME TO APPRECIATE A WELL-WRITTEN AND INSIGHTFUL PIECE AS I HAVE DONE. I PUBLISH A WEEKLY FOOTBALL NEWSLETTER, SO HERE IS A SHORT ONE FROM ANOTHER WEEK -

I WAS READING THIS MORNING WHERE THE GEORGIA FRESHMAN RUNNING BACK WAS PUT ON THE LIST OF HIESMAN HOPEFULS TO WATCH @SPORTSLINE.COM
Well - in the article, Mr. Ware says not to jump the gun, it was one game, div-2 opponent. He cannot fill Herschals shoes or be a Heisman candidate after one game.
Not believing any web site would put a freshman on the list - I go to the site to see it for myself. And yes he was there. But then I see, underneath the sites picks, was a place for amateurs to write in. And there it was - a VOL fan had written in saying their freshman QB should be on the list....because he was that good.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
Oh the insanity of a vol fan after one game against UNLV. It last a lifetime I suppose.

Heres some trivia questions?
WHAT QUARTERBACK LEADS THE SEC IN PASSING?
No Not Florida, not LSU, not Georgia
Alabamas Brodie Croyle
Amazing!
(For extra credit, name the last time an ALA QB lead in passing?)
WHAT RUNNING BACK LEADS THE SEC IN RUSHING?
No- Not Auburn, Not Tennessee, Not South Carolina
Alabamas Ray Hudson
Amazing!
(Because he splits time with K. Darby, 5th on the list.)
Well, Lets try a team statistic
..
WHAT TEAM LEADS THE SEC IN PENALTIES?
No- Not Florida, they are the least penalized (29 yds a game)
No- Not Georgia, they are second least (33.5 yds a game)
Tennessee (93 yards per game)
Amazing!
(Since they have only played ONE game)
Now how does that happen? If you have ever seen a Vols game you know. They lead the league in personal foul penalties. Although, they only had FOUR in the first game. So, is this a matter of concern for this team? Decide for yourself.
From the Tennessean, Nashville, TN -
Jesse Mahelona, Tennessees junior tackle says he has gotten the message on what's priority No. 1 for the Vols' defense against the Gators.
Hit Florida quarterback Chris Leak early and hit him often.
''One thing I've noticed about Leak is that he hates to be hit,'' Mahelona said. ''You give him one real good shot
'
We have to get as much pressure in his face as we can,''
we just have to go in and do what we have to do.''
Now I ask you, does it sound like this team wants to eliminate its personal foul penalties, or personally injure the young QB for Florida and take him out of the game (or a career)?
ANYWAY, THANKS FOR NOTICING I LIKE, GOOD LUCK ON SATURDAY
