Oklahoma and Florida OR Georgia and Bama

I'd like to think that we're that way again with Vandy and KY, but it's sad that those are the only 2. I remember when UGA was normally a W. Oh well. We'll be back very soon.

Right about that same time Florida and Bama were the only 2 games we even remotely fretted about. All the other games were virtually a forgone conclusion. Fingers crossed that Butch is the right man to get us back to that point. Doing great things with recruiting and ancillary things to greatly improve the program. Just need to see something on the field this year......very little evidence last year.

I think a lot of people wrongfully downplay the Carolina win because we're used to beating them. However, they were a very good team last year, and Butch out coached Spurrier, who always out coached Phil. I see a lot of good signs from Jones and I think he's the right man for the job. Also keep in mind he was one play away from beating UGA, and had Worley not been injured, we would have beaten Vandy and gone to a bowl. This is the year we turn the corner.

I agree. My "very little evidence" from last year consisted of those 2 games. Unfortunately those 2 outstanding efforts didn't translate in our games vs Bama, Auburn, Missouri and Vandy. As excited as I was to see how well we played those two games, my enthusiasm was all but snuffed out completely with the subsequent 4 very bad losses.

There was a time not so long ago that we were chalking Bama up as a W but that in no way meant they were not viewed as a rival. Maybe some younger fans were feeling that way but anyone in their 30s knew better.

I don't think any honest FL fan is counting us as a gaurenteed W this year, last year, or the year before that.

It varies from person to person I guess. Back in the day at least for me say late 80's all the way through the 90's into the early 2000's Florida was/is a very heated/emotional rivalry for a lot of fans on both sides. Every year during the Florida games you'd hear about so many fan fights and craziness than most other games. That's the way I personally remember it at least. That's not to say Bama isn't a rivalry by any means.

Bama. I have to work in Alabama quite often and they are the most arrogant fans ever. If I hear roll tide one more time I am gonna blow my freaking brains out...

FL wasnt really a rival until just before the divisional format started. We had only played about 21 times before that.

If you told me we'd beat bama and lose the other three I'd even take that. I just hate alabama.

I severely dislike the Tide as well.....but I'll happily take the wins at Georgia and Okla, and break one of college football's longest and most embarrassing losing streaks by beating Florida. Those 3 wins would do more to help the program than 1 win vs Bama.

Georgia is loaded and we are playing at their house, so no.

It's been a close game regardless of where the games have been played. We have many weapons on the offensive side, RB's and WR's, but we also have many questions on the defensive side. Overall, this will be a very interesting year for us.

I know I should say UGA and Bama, but I really don't want to lose to Florida for a 10th year in a row. Especially since there's a decent chance they are about as bad as last season.

Noticed today that we have the longest streak in the series with 10. Would hate to see that fall. Especially considering they passed us up in the over all series a few years ago.

definitely take 2 SEC wins over 1 and an OOC. Especially true if one is over bama

How about Florida/UGA or Bama/Oklahoma?

I think that is more interesting as inarguably Bama/Oklahoma are both better than Florida/UGA will be this year but we get to break:

* Florida losing streak of 9

* Georgia losing streak of 4

To me, it's got to be UF/UGA in that wildly hypothetical scenario. 2 SEC-E opponents and breaking what is, to me, the worst losing streak in the series.

There were multiple times we should have beat Florida in the last couple of years and we just... quit. We have to get this game behind us.

Oklahoma because it would garner national attention right off the bat for our program and bUTch
And Florida because I'm tired of those fools barely scraping off these wins against us every single year

You've got to go back a pretty good ways to find a game that wasn't a double digit loss to UF.

2006 21-20.

07-09 was embarrassing. Since then the games have been a little closer than the final score. In '10 we were making a push until they pulled off the fake punt. '11 we laid down after Hunter got hurt. '12 we led late in the 3rd before they got two quick scores and the team quit. And last year they tried to give us the game and we just handed it right back.

Barely scraping off wins? Last 9 wins for Florida, total score: Florida 281 UT 143
