Olberman Out at MSNBC

I'm not surprised. Lots of speculation about the NBC/Comcast merger being the cause of it.

Olberman. That name is fun to say. Olberman.

that clown, Lawrence O'Donnell, is replacing Olberman in that time slot. If anything, he's a bigger buffoon than Keith. The fat, red-headed retard Ed Schultz is getting moved to 10pm where he's going to get crushed by Greta Van Susteren.

LG must be furious. How dare Beck, Rush, and Hannity force him to resign with their violent rhetoric. :realmad:

Nah. I did not like his antagonistic style, the sarcasm was over the top, imo. I do like how he kept Fox honest, frequwntly pointing out their inconsitency and bias. But think he'd have had a broader appeal if he weren't so glib.

Agreed.

For what little I watched the news or TV in general, I thought Maddow was better.

I applaud MSNBC for trying to make a buck being the self proclaimed antithesis to Fox News, and I agree with you, LG. If Olberman wasn't such a self important prick he would be ok.

Overplayed his hand in trying to hijack a new contract. Being the top ratings guy in a sewer doesn't make you worth more money.

There's a lesson here somewhere.....if only I could see through the thick smoke of irony billowing from this post.
